The free agent was picked up by GSTL finalist SlayerS after he leaving MVP last month for which he played for almost a year and a half. In turn, Crank was let go for medical reasons.
Contrary to the recent trend of Korean players joining foreign teams, Genius signed with SlayerS and will therefore be joining coach and Broodwar legend BoxeR, fellow Protosses Alicia and Puzzle as well as Ryung and current B-teamer MMA, among others.
The team that will be facing FXOpen e-Sports this Saturday in the grand finals of the GSTL, will in turn remove Crank for what they pointed out as entirely health related issues in the following statement:
Crank had a problem with the disk of his neck and is currently recieving treatment at home. Accusations of him leaving due to a fight within the team is false. We Hope Crank concentrates only on his recovery and we hope that everything turns out well. We hope we can see him back in the future.
