Frenetic Array - DreamHack Winter 2011 Blog

The event happened late last year and this piece of content is fairly old. However, it has not been seen by the public until today. The article is a fairly long and thorough account of Frenetic Array's trip to DreamHack and an analysis of all the matches played. The blog itself was prepared by Sebastian "Shinkz" Torralba and David "wyt`" Ashwell.

During DreamHack Winter, the Frenetic Array website was hacked and eventually taken offline. Since then there has been a large amount of Frenetic Array content that has not reached the public because the website had to be rebuilt.

Our first competition match was against Fnatic, the two time DreamHack Champions, who had never been beaten in a LAN setting. A baptism by fire, Fnatic is considered to be one of the, if not the best and most consistent team in the world. If there was one thing that gave us a chance against Fnatic, it was the fact that they had not played against us before. Two opposing play styles confronting each other for the first time would surely lead to an interesting first round for the team – which it certainly did.

Aside from the team's perspective, the blog also highlights a lot of written content, video content, and discussion that occured throughout DreamHack, of which might be of interest to fans of fray.

Although we didn’t win the DreamHack tournament and there is a little bit of disappointment from the team after the Grand Finals, the whole team understood that second place was a fantastic achievement and helped to show the world the gaming talent that exists down under. The prize of $13,200 USD was the highest prize won by an Australian eSports team or player.
