Now that you've reached the Ro8, do you feel that you have been successful in dealing with your nerves?
- He thinks he'll be able to deal with it once he wins the GSL.
- In the first set on Metalopolis he was talking to himself, please not close location, please not close locaton. He gave up his build and improvised it. He's been playing a lot versus mvp on the ladder, and he have been using Void Rays. He went for the void rays, and was able to defeat him.
How far do you think you can actually get in this tournament. Your next opponent is jinro, how do you feel about facing him?
- First of all, his goal is to win the next round. He always sets small goals. He heard GSL is a Global Starcraft tournament, but tihs is the first time where he will be playing a foreigner.. He feels honored playing against foreigner. He heard from an interview that JinrO is glad to play against choya, and he did not think it was in any bad respect. He looks forward playing a good match against him.
choya moves on to Round of 8! 2-0!
***
choya walks up the other ramp up to mvp's main, but moves back. We're all just sitting here waiting for the final battle.
***
choya, moving in again, wants to take out the barracks. Both players playing hit-n-run, but now the grand attack comes! Lots of stalkers, mvp with a lot of marines and marauders, even takes his SCVs out to fend it off. Wow, mvp holding it off, and it was such a game-turner.
Now it's back to even steven.
13:51 - And we are off to game two. MVP in the top as red Terran, choya blue Protoss at bottom left.
A little misclick from MVP, moving his SCVs to the geyser instead of the minerals. A bit shaky.
***
Three barracks build for MVP.
***
choya attack with his stalker, zealot, sentry army, having been warped from six warp gates! Some really nice force fields being laid down.
***
choya moves further in, now in the base of mvp. He has the lead, but the move-in for the kill was probably not the best action. mvp holds off the attack.
MVP can't do anything to this Void Ray, Stalker rush. This will be over soon. All SCVs taken out by the Void Rays. MVP says GG and leaves the game. 1-0 to choya!
Second map will be Blistering Sands.
13:42 - In the top we have MVP as red Terran while choya is in the left as blue Protoss.
***
Nothing special right now, both players going standard build orders.
***
Marauder can finally kill off the scouting probe. Right after, mvp adds his command center. Some marauders out for mvp.
choya going Stargate, has one stalker and one zealot out.
***
Metalopolis
Blistering Sands
Steppes of War

- I'm feeling too happy to be able to express myself. Words are not enough right now, I'm literally shaking! And giggling.
You posted on TL right after oGsMC match. Were you actually in your booth? And does it help you to chill out on the forums that you've been on?
I normally don't browse TeamLiquid before the match since I might read something that might change my mindset. This time I wanted to prepare, but I also wanted to know how MC was doing. I turned on and watched the live report. Had me worried for a bit, losing the first game.
You've kinda been avoiding the typical terran all-ins, like one-base and two-base allins. does it give you a better change reaching the finals?
- It might make me harder to practice against. I'm not BitByBitPrime, I'm the opposite. But you have to be a little bit BitByBit too, because if you don't have it you have no fear. You gotta have them fear you.
Which players left in this tournament most intimiate you?
- MC, MVP, FruitDealer and NesTea. I'm sure I'm forgetting some guys.
***
Yup, Polt concedes. GG! 2-0 to JinrO!
But another banshee flies in, harassing the mineral line of Polt. Four vikings there to kill it off, after having scanned twice.
Polt also with two siege tanks and some marines outside JinrO's base. Gets spotted by two unlucky marines of JinrO.
***
Moves in to siege fire, blunder from Polt.
Anoter move-in, against even more sieged tanks. Polt now in a terrible position. 69 against 45 supply in favor of JinrO. JinrO way ahead.
13:18 - Polt in the top as red, JinrO in the bottom as blue. Both players with identical openings. Supply, Barracks, Gas.
JinrO taking his second gas pretty fast, while we see Polt going Factory before his second. JinrO following up with Factory as well.
***
Siege tank, viking from Polt. JinrO going banshees, cloaked of course.
***
Polt counter-attacking with marines, marauders and tanks. The banshees can soften up the siege tanks, and JinrO's own siege tanks can solve the remaining forces.
Supply: 79 against 39 in favour for the Swede.
More banshee attacks. 32 kills on one of the banshees! This game is so over.
JinrO double expanding, rolling more and more siege tanks into Polt's base.
***
Polt concedes. 1-0 to JinrO!
Siege tanks and marines out for Polt, stationing himself in the middle of the map. JinrO with siege tanks as well.
Medivac going to elevate the troops in to JinrO's main.
JinrO loses his refinery, but can handle the attack with his own tanks.
13:05 - JinrO as blue, bottom right. Polt top left as red. No "silly willy moves," so far.
***
JinrO with a proxy barracks just at the middle top expansion. Going to rush!
***
Polt has acknowledged the rush attempt, JinrO moves in, bunker laid down at Polt. Also has a Hellion on the way, which will taking out the marines. While having applied the pressure, JinrO takes his natural expansion.
JinrO against Polt!
How does it feel to pass off a StarCraft 1 champion in such a macro heavy series?
- He was confident in macro game, he was comfortable playing it.
Are you confident after beating such a great player, being able to be the first Protoss to win the GSL?
- He thinks he's the best player and he wants foreign fans to support him because he is going to continue being the best player in GSL.
Why did you choose the void Ray builds in all your games? What is in these builds that you like so much?
- [Transcribing this will be hard, as MC went for it in English, but he said Void Rays kills off overlord scouts, and then something about July making drones, drones, drones]
oGsMC wins. 2-1.
***
MC taking his second expansion. At the same time moving forward with his mass stalker army. July has indeed moved over to Roaches.
***
July maxed, MC at 184.
July's second expansion being taken out.
Good opportunity for MC to back away, expand and regroup.
July building his third hatchery at his expansion. Taking his second expansion at the left of his main.
***
MC lays down a couple of more warp gates, and another Stargate. Seems like we can expect a similar style like last game.
July with evolution chamber and hydralisk den.
12:34 - We're on our way to get our second player to reach the quarter finals. Will it be July or will it be MC?
What we do know already is that July is in the bottom right, and MC in the top left.
***
MC going for fast expansion it seems like. Laying down a forge and a pylon outside his natural.
***
First zerglings from July spotting the expansion.
12:27 - JulyZerg top right, MC bottom left. MC with the regular Gateway, Cybernetics Core, JulyZerg also going the same build order - spawning pool, gas, speed research and hatchery.
***
Void Ray out for MC, then warping in three more gateways, making it four in total.
The Void Ray taking a peak inside July's base.
***
An all-in attempt from MC. Stalkers, sentries, zealots, void ray all-in. Totally overwhelming July's four Queens. 1-1!
Takes the battle for now. But while MC has nothing but two-base, JulyZerg has a great economy going, he could reinforce with more hydralisks after that. MC forfeits, July 1-0!
Double Robotics from MC. Has Phoenixes, sentries, stalkers, immortals and zealots up. Moving in for an attack!
Nice force fields being laid down. Players falling back after some pounding.
***
JulyZerg, feeling strong after the last battle, goes in for MC's expansion, dealing some nice damage to MC's defenses.
July goes for a run-in with his zerglings, but MC is quick in laying down a pylon at his choke. The sentries and stalkers can kill off the attempt.
Spire going up, taking both his expansion gases as well. Mass mutalisks?
12:10 - And it's on. July in the top right, MC bottom left.
Spawning pool and gas first for July, aggressive as always. Mining 100 gas, then falls back to minerals. MC with Cybernetics Core up.
***
July expands. Stargate on the way.
How would you rank Leenock's skill compared to other Zergs you've faced recently?
- He's been playing with leenock a lot and they're very good friends also. From his point of view, he is probably one of the top players he knows.
Your TvZ is quite good, what percentage of your practice games are against Zerg opponents, and who do you play with the most out of all the Zergs?
- As the only Zerg player in Prime team is CheckPrime, he usually practices with him.
Tooons of marines. They've got massive upgrades too.
Leenock's ultralisk choice isn't really optimal. They can't do much against the heavily upgraded marines.
Leenock tries to kill off the terran force, but there are too many marines who live to see another battle.
This should be over soon, if not Leenock spawns the Queen of Blades somehow.
Nope, GG from Leenock.
MarineKing falls back, seeing the Infestors. Spots an expansion attempt from Leenock, lands and quickly takes out the hatchery. But Leenock runs over there to take out the dropships and marines with the Infestors. Nice job!
***
MarineKing moving out, lots of marines and marauders. Takes out one of the hatcheries in the middle. Leenock with banelings, zerglings and infestors - holds off the attack.
11:44 - We're off! Leenock top left, MarineKing bottom right.
Marine expanding at his natural. Leenock has his hatchery already up.
***
Zerglings pounding the destructible rocks outside MarineKing's expansion. Falls back though.
Armory on the way for MarineKing, so he can upgrade his second round of upgrades in the Engineering Bay.
***
Infestation Pit. Ni-hice. A few infestors out already. An overlord scouts the Terran base, sees the "standard" build of MarineKing.
MarineKing relied on the island expansion so much, so he probably should've just dropped one medivac's worth of marines in the island, instead of losing half of his economy to a nydus worm.
Leenock having too many units for MarineKing to micro his way out of this. "You need support units," says Artosis. "It's not about micro, it's about math!" Tasteless counters.
***
MarineKing wants to attack again, running through the entrance. Fends it off. Leenock has stopped mining.
Okay, he moves them to one of his expansions now.
Starport with a Viking being built from MarineKing, going at the floating overlords.
Third hatchery being spawned in at the Zerg's natural expansion, at the asme time as the fourth hatchery at the gold expansion in the bottom left.
***
Mutalisks knocking on the front door of MarineKing. Tons of mutalisks out. Marines there to defend, Leenock moves back.
***
Nydus Worm tunneling through space, going at MarineKing's island expansion. Mutalisks there to fend off any air units, and zerglings being nydused in to take out the island.
***
MarineKing counter-attacking at the gold expansion. But smart move by Leenock, counter-counter-attacking in the front of MarineKing's main. 2-2 marines though, no way he can take that.
Instead meets up with MarineKing's marines previously at the golden expansion - takes out the troop with speed banelings, zerglings and mutalisks.
11:23 - MarineKing up 1-0, now landing at the right at Scrap Station. Leenock in the top.
Leenock with hatchery first. MarineKing doing very fast expansion. Double Engineering Bay as well. Double Gas. "I think he's banking on a 1-1 time rush or maybe 2-2," ponders Artosis.
Leenock spots the expansion with a scouting overlord.
***
MarineKing now teching up. One Factory and two more Barracks being laid down.
Mutalisks on the way for Leenock.
***
Mutalisks going in to MarineKing's base, goes for the mineral line. Unsure if it picked off any SCVs, but it severely damaged a MULE.
***
MarineKing moving out with his 30 something marines and two medivacs. Destroying the rocks, entering Leenock's main base, spreading his marines beautifully. Leenock with banelings and mutalisks. Are they enough? No, GG from Leenock!
11:12 - Close positions, Leenock to the top left and MarineKing top right. A bit of a strange overlord scout from Leenock, who's at the same time drone scouting. Will be taking his hatchery first, MarineKing laying down his barracks just above his ramp.
***
MarineKing expanding, plus adding three more barrakc sin his main. Stim and combat shield have both been researched. So we'll probably see a marine attack soon.
Leenock with a spine crawler at his expansion. No zerglings yet.
NesTea > Maka 2-1
Rain > GgoBooGie 2-1
FruitDealer > BitByBit 2-0
HongUn > TheBest 2-1

I'm starting to like this song that's played right now on the stream. "Wait on me", or whatever they sing in the chorus. It's probably in Korean.
MarineKing 1-2 Leenock
MC 0-2 July
Polt 0-2 JinrO
mvp 2-0
Let's see how that goes.
We have MarineKing from Prime (fake BoxeR) going up against Leenock of fOu. If any of you remember the eeeeepic game between Leenock and Clide in the Round of 64, you should be as excited as I am. Will MarineKing continue with his mass marines, or will we see something different, for once?
We have oGs player MC against JulyZerg from Startale. July has been looking really solid in the last couple of rounds. July reaching this far in his first season is quite a feat.
Sweden's pride, JinrO, is going up against Polt, the slayer of SlayerSBoxeR. JinrO showed us a new way of playing Terran, much inspired from StarCraft 1, with a lot of defense and just macroing out the opponent. It will definitely be interesting to see how his Terran versus Terran will be like.
And last but not least, we have MVP against choya. MVP, thought of as the best Korean player with his his ladder rank, will lock horns with the guy who eliminated former WarCraft 3 progamer Check.
It's starting in about 20 minutes. Make sure to tune in at GOMTV.net.
