14:38 - It's GG, and it's 2-0 for GoldenfOu who moves on to the round of 32.

14:37 - Golden moving out, aiming for a win on a timing attack. Forces meet in the middle, nice fungal growth, another one!

Golden cleans up the middle while TheWind is harassing with mutalisks in the main of Golden. Golden engaging the natural of TheWind. Mutalisks still doing tons of damage, but realistically Golden is the one gaining the advantage from this, and TheWind is looking at the exit door.

14:35 - TheWind is transitioning into ground forces now, starting out with roaches and upgrading burrow.

14:34 - Golden is also making an Infestation Pit. The game is still on hold, nothing really happening other than TheWind maintaining map control, taking another expansion and upgrading his mutalisks.

14:32 - A spire is going up for TheWind now.

Spire finished, and Golden is putting up a Hydralisk Den to support his roaches.

14:30 - They're both making a baneling nest as well as a spine crawler in their expansions.

14:29 - Both Zergs going for a fast expansion, but Golden nicely delays TheWind's expansion with his scouting drone.

14:27 - The second game is on Shakuras Plateu with cross positions. Golden in the top left, TheWind in the bottom right.

14:24 - GG from TheWind, GoldenfOu takes the first game. 1-0!

14:23 - Golden now attacking, but pulls back after seeing TheWind's roach number is quite high.

Golden at the same time is contaminating the structures of TheWind, and follows it up with a very well timed attack, and is looking to take the first game.

14:22 - TheWind is slowly catching up with Golden in this game, 39 to 30 drones for Golden, and 100 to around 80 supply.

14:21 - Knowing nothing, Golden gets a visit from a few burrowed roaches moving into his main like they were dark templas, doing great harassment until the overseer arrives.

14:19 - Golden does have an overseer now, trapping the burrowed roaches killing off a big number of them, and is now in a huge lead.

14:18 - A very close battle, first it looked like TheWind would take it, but Golden might hold it off anyways. It all comes down to this, if Golden holds it he will win due to his two bases vs one.

TheWind has started upgrading burrow movement while doing more harassment in the expansion of Golden.

14:17 - TheWind tries again to attack with roaches, burrowing to heal them when necessary.

One queen goes down, big battle now!

14:16 - TheWind is now engaging, one spine crawler is up, Golden sends his Zerglings to counter, three queens transfusing the spine crawler keeping it alive against the roaches, holds it off very nicely.

14:15 - Golden is preparing for mutas, while TheWind is actually upgrading burrow for his roaches. This might look bad for a non-teching, muta-prepared Golden who just finished his expansion.

14:14 - TheWind is now teching to a lair, while Golden has two queens out and is waiting for speed to finish for his zerglings.

His two queens now chasing an overlord away, and they managed to kill it. Roach warren is going up for TheWind.

14:13 - Golden already proving himself as an entertainer, mining a golden mineral with his scouting drone.

TheWind is now engaging with zerglings as Golden's expansion just finished.

14:11 - The first round of the ZvZ series has started, it's on Xel'Naga Caverns with oGsTheWind in the top right corner as the red Zerg and GoldenfOu in the bottom left as the green Zerg.

14:04 - The final match of the day is a Zerg vs Zerg between oGsTheWind and GoldenfOu, which will be starting soon.

14:02 - Maka interview:

Q: You played a really good first game, last season you didn't do so well, what has changed?

13:56 - Maka holds it off and wins the series 2-0.

13:55 - Maka knows what's coming, drones and zerglings, walling in below his ramp, trying to save himself some time instead of walling in above the ramp which he also could have done.

IMSleep doesn't have a single drone left in his base. It all comes down to micro.

13:53 - If you listen closely you can always hear Artosis cough right before a game starts while they show the intros.

This means the second game has started, it's on Steppes of War. IMSleep is making a very fast spawning pool, I think it's a 6 pool.

Maka is still happy

13:51 - The Zerg seems very eager to attack, moving around trying to find a hole in Maka's defense.

Zerg engaging now, Maka holds it off, no problem, and GG from Sleep. 1-0.

13:49 - While Maka is moving out, the Zerg is counter attacking with a lot of banelings. Maka gets the third base, a lot of zerglings, banelings and mutas in the middle waiting for something to happen.

Zerglings are harassing the expansion of Maka. Maka is just now taking the golden expansion.

Roaches are out now as well, but there are a lot of tanks on the map which will give the roaches a hard time.

13:48 - Sleep now has a lot of mutalisks, does some harassment here and there while Maka is just sitting on two bases right now.

Zerg is making a third. Maka moves out, starting to take out the rocks blocking the golden expansion.

13:46 - Maka now has two medivacs full of marines and marauders, taking out the hatchery at the third base of Sleep before it finishes.

Now moving around by Sleep's main, mutalisks are out and Maka lost all of it.

13:45 - The banelings attacks, does not do a lot, Maka chases them back, and kills off all but one baneling.

13:44 - Maka still engaging, microing his marines and marauders very well moving them behind the golden minerals leaving no space for the zerglings to surround them.

More banelings are being made now, while Maka has moved back and is putting on his defenses.

13:42 - IMSleep now sees the orbital command floating to the expansion of Maka, and realizes he was going for an economical build instead of the early pressure the Zerg expected.

A lot of marauders are out for Maka, Sleep tried to morph into banelings by the Xel'Naga watch tower, but Maka finds them and forces them to cancel. Maka is now moving out.

13:41 - Maka is relying on a meta game, tricking the Zerg into thinking he's going for an early push with his barracks which the Zerg knows about, and Sleep is not making drones, but Zerglings instead.

13:39 - The Maka rax is going up, Maka's signature build, while the Zerg is getting his pool and expansion up.

13:37 - The first game has started when the clock strikes 13:37 CET. We have Maka in the bottom left corner as the red Terran, and IMSleep in the top right as the blue Zerg on Xel'Naga Caverns.

Q: How did you find out, learn or create that build you used in the first game?

As soon as I found out I was playing JookToJung I practiced that build 10 hours in a PC-bang every day”

It's hard to not be happy, and I smoked a lot of cigarettes for this game and practiced a lot for this”

I will ask around for suggestions, when I was getting ready for round of 64, I thought it was like 1% chance of winning, but I still won”

13:22 - LittleBoy is now moving out with everything. Banelings killed almost every SCV out there, the attack turning out well for the Terran who spreads out his units nicely, and forces JookToJung to GG. LittleBoy moves on, 2-0.

13:20 - Baneling nest is going up, and lair just started. A lot of marines are being made from 3 barracks with a reactor each now.

13:19 - JookToJung is making an expansion first while he keeps stealing the gas by remaking an assimilator over and over.

JookToJung did spot the three barracks being made, and has an intel advantage now.

13:16 - LittleBoy, spawns in the bottom left corner of Blistering Sands as the red Terran, and Jook in the top right as the blue Zerg.

13:14 - JookToJung is still making mutalisks, while the Terran player has a lot of marines and vikings, with a couple of banshees, which is obviously a very nice counter to the mutalisks.

Now engaging, the Terran scans the zerglings morphing into banelings and forces them to cancel. Now inside the expansion, more banes are being made, but it's too much for the Zerg to handle. And GG from JookToJung.

13:13 - LittleBoy now revealed his vikings, holding off the mutalisks, do some more harassment with a cloaked banshee. Vikings flying around on the look-out for the mutalisks.

13:11 - Now the Terran is transitioning into only vikings to counter the mutalisks. Interesting play, and a new way of playing TvZ from LittleBoy.

13:10 - The spire is done, and two banshees have started their harassment. Cloak has finished, mutas are out, but still no overseers.

13:09 - Two starports are going up now, and a tech lab to the factory which will allow him to transition into banshees as he's lifting off the factory when the tech lab finished. A very rare transition from the Terran here, who's now also upgrading cloak.

Zerg might be prepared though as he's making a spire and a baneling nest. Though he does not know about what's going on in the Terran base.

13:07 - A bunker is being made behind the mineral line of the zerg expansion, while a reaper is on the way. Drones are now trying to kill off the bunker, zerglings are out as well. The bunker finishes, and the reaper is getting close, though the bunker was salvaged, the reaper tries to do some harassment and kills off two drones.

Three barracks are being made, walling in the expansion of the terran, while a command center is being made as well as a factory.

13:04 - The game is paused by Jook. Edit, the game was not restarted, just resumed. So the locations are still top left Zerg, and top right Terran.

Jook is expanding, while LittleBoy is making a tech lab, the drone scouts it.

13:03 - The first game is live, LittleBoy is in the top right corner, Jook as the red Terran in the top left corner as the blue Zerg.

When I lost my first match I was worried I had to leave for Taiwan right away, but I won the next matches, and I'm glad my fans support me”

12:48 - A nice move by SEn, sandwiching the units with his drones and stalkers, call it a SEnwich if you'd like, and Vines GG's, SEn moves on to the round of 32, being the first foreigner in the round of 32 of this season.

12:47 - Burrow has finished, he burrows the roaches regenerating the health, the battle goes on and on in the expansion of SEn.

12:46 - Vines is engaging, making pylons outside SEn's base, nice force fields at the expansion, SEn gets one of the pylons, a lot of roaches are being blocked by force fields, this looks bad for SEn as Vines keeps warping in reinforcements. Only a few roaches trying to hold this off now.

12:45 - SEn is destroying the rocks at his golden expansion, has droned up a lot, and made a very late lair. The Protoss now has five warp gates.

12:44 - A probe gets inside SEn's base, while a 3-gate-expansion for the Protoss as the nexus was just put down.

12:42 - Cybernetics Core and double gas is going up for the Protoss, while SEn is getting his hatchery and his spawning pool ready.

12:39 - The third and deciding game is on Blistering Sands, we have oGsVines in the bottom left position, and SEn in the top right.

12:37 - Protoss engaging, some force fields going down, but SEn is able to hold it off, cleans up everything, and what, a GG already from Vines. 1-1 as SEn equalizes.

12:36 - A changeling from SEn is yet to be spotted, following the great army of the protoss, seeing everything. Vines is now moving out, but SEn has a lot of hydras for defense.

SEn is actually ahead in supply despite the early phoenix harassment.

12:34 - The Protoss is now putting down an expansion and is teching, while he made SEn pretty static sporing up without any knowledge of the expansion.

12:33 - Vines is now moving out with three Phoenixes, killing off two queens and overlords. SEn is making spore crawlers.

12:32 - Vines did some pressure with one stalker, forcing SEn into making zerglings, leaving SEn unprepared for the air forces. 2 Phoenixes out for Vines.

12:31 - Vines is hiding a probe bottom right, the expansion of SEn is just finishing.

Vines is now making a stargate.

12:28 - The second game has started on Delta Quadrant, cross positions with SEn in the bottom left corner and Vines in the top right.

12:25 - The zerglings are caught between a wall-in and zealots on the ramp of Vines, and there's not a lot of options left for our Taiwanese Zerg player who has lost his expansion to the cannons.

One final attack from SEn, sending zerglings, and actually kills a few zealots, almost breaking through, but Vines puts down a new pylon to wall and now has a stalker out.

12:23 - SEn is playing risky, putting down an early expansion. Vines at the same time is responding by making a forge, and is planning on cannon rushing the swarm out of SEn.

SEn has cleverly put his drone on patrol to avoid any pylon block, but Vines is making the pylon on the lower side next to the expansion, zealots and probes coming in, cannon is half-way done, SEn losing a lot of drones, more cannons being made on the higher ground now.

This is looking really bad for SEn. SEn is sending zerglings to counter.

Q: How confident are you going into the next season, and how has the loss to NEXGenius affected you?

I expected the first match to be very difficult, but I thought, if I win the first one I will make it to the round of eight, and I did. I didn't get to practice much before the game vs Genius so I expected to lose that one”

I'm not very confident with the map we played on in the second match (Delta Quadrant)”

12:07 - GG from Jys, he did though make some good games, and it will be interesting to see what he can do in the upcoming seasons of GSL.

12:03 - Jys is sending out a lot of marines, but he has to be careful because the zergling speed is soon finished, and a lot of lings are out, but a nice move by Jys, blocking the ramp with bunkers, delaying a lot of zerglings to engage, though he does break the wall-in, and now NesTea is countering with a lot of zerglings, preventing Jys from expanding.

12:02 - Jys made a bunker by the expansion of NesTea and started sending three marines, though no SCVs, forcing NesTea to make zerglings instead of drones, then cancels the bunker later.

12:01 - NesTea is making an expansion first, while the Terran is making two barracks and now upgrading to an orbital command.

11:59 - The third and deciding game has started. NesTea spawns as the red Zerg in the bottom left, and Jys, the blue Terran in the top right corner of Xel'Naga Caverns.

Will we see an upset from NesTea, losing to Jys, or is the Season 2 champion too much for the newcomer Jys? We'll find out soon.

11:56 - NesTea somehow held off the attack which seemed to be the final attack, now counters with burrowed roaches while the Terran is engaging yet again with two thors and marines. Roaches retreating to save his base, but it's not enough, Jys takes the game and equalizes to 1-1.

11:55 - Great micro with the medivac, though NesTea holds it off at last with roaches and mutas, but income wise, NesTea is way behind with 13 drones to 40 SCVs.

A thor is out, and a huge army is engaging nesTea's base now.

11:54 - The banshees now have cloak, and Jys' two banshees do a lot of damage, killing off queens before the overseer finishes. Now a medivac coming in with marauders and marines for support, this is an excellent play by the newcomer Jys who kills off the spire, only three mutas are being made and the spire is down.

11:53 - A banshee is out, along with the SCVs it's the only thing trying to kill off the roaches. Now the siege tanks are back in the base, more roaches coming in, two banshees out.

Good pressure from NesTea who forced Jys to bring back his tanks.

11:51 - Two tanks loaded up, Jys drops two tanks on the cliff outside NesTea's base, while a counter attack is coming in from NesTea with lots of burrowed roaches, they do get spotted, but they still do a lot of damage in Jys' main base.

11:50 - NesTea cleaned it up with his roaches, but Jys was prepared for this and has now transitioned into tanks, and is making a medivac, and we'll see a tank drop coming up.

11:49 - Jys is now moving out, five hellions, doing a lot of damage to the drones, killing tons of them in the main, marines are there for support but died from banelings, three hellions still alive doing damage.

Only 21 drones left for NesTea vs Jys' 40 SCVs.

11:48 - NesTea's responding well, making a roach warren.

11:47 - Jys is now sending out around 10-12 marines, a scary move as there are speedlings out, but he actually does a good job, forcing NesTea to make more lings.

The marines are cleaned up, but worth it for the Terran. The expansion is now up for Jys as well as two factories and upgrading the blue flames for hellions.

11:45 - NesTea is expanding, got his pool up already. Terran player Jys went for two barracks, and is now starting to attack the rocks at the expansion inside his base and puts down a command center.

11:42 - The second game is on Delta Quadrant, we have NesTea as the red Zerg in the bottom left, and Jys, the blue Terrran in the bottom right corner.

11:39 - The ultralisks now kills their way through the defenses of Jys who is now left with nothing left and we'll see a GG pretty soon.

GG, NesTea takes home the first game. Impressive play by Jys however, and we're excitingly waiting for the second game.

11:38 - A big attack in the middle, all the brood lords goes down, thors goes down as well, but the vikings and tanks cleans up the roaches. Now 10 ultralisks are being made as well as banelings and zerglings.

11:36 - Eight Brood Lords are out, moving across the middle of the map, now engaging the Terran army, vikings, thors, tanks and marauders.

The vikings get fungal growth all over them as the Infestors joins the Brood Lord party.

11:34 - A pretty big attack taking place in the middle of the map, NesTea catching Jys' army off-guard, fungal growths the army and deals a lot of damage.

11:33 - Banshees taking out the fourth base of NesTea, while the Zerg is making a greater spire hidden beneath his overlords and putting down more expansions around the map..

11:32 - The Terran now makes a counter attack to NesTea's fourth base in the bottom left corner, but at the same time, NesTea counters the counter attack with roaches in the natural of Jys, however it is held off by the thors and banshees. The expansions for both players survived.

Infestors are out as Jys now moves out on the middle.

11:31 - Jys scans NesTea's roaches. The hive is on it's way as well as a fourth base that just finished for the Zerg.

NesTea is now making his way into the third base of Jys with a lot of roaches, but the planetary fortress holds them off.

11:30 - NesTea does not know about the third base of the terran. Thors out now, while 5-6 mutalisks try to get some harassment done, but without any success. He did however spot the third base though.

11:28 - NesTea is putting creep tumors everywhere while he's getting a spire up and another expansion. The Terran has now landed both his orbital commands, now on three base. Soon three base vs three base.

Terran is also putting down turrets, being ready for any muta harassment

11:26 - Transfusion saves a queen, and the banshees barely makes it out of time without dying. Jys is now double expanding, making two command centers in his base, and has lift off the starports from the tech labs, comfortably settled with four banshees out.

NesTea is over committing his response to the banshees, making spore colonies and queens.

11:24 - Two tech labs finished from the barracks and the factory, and the starports are lifted off and already started making banshees. Both starports are rallied to NesTea's base.

At the same time we have a hellion trying to do some harassment. Two banshees on the way, two more queens are being made.

11:23 - Jys is teching up, adding a second refinery for double gas vs NesTea who has expanded. We will probably see banshees, as he's making two starports.

11:20 - The first game has started, it is on Shakuras Plateau with our remaining champion of season 2, NesTea, as the red Zerg in the top left corner, and the newcomer Jys as the blue Terran in the bottom right corner.
