It's been a sad couple of days for South East Asian fans as a massive Dark Horse emerged in the form of dilated's dream team, eliminating the last 2 seeded SEA teams left iMpUniTy and DuskBin eSports.

The game intensified as a lot of exchanges happened at Kongor. iMp essentially won the teamfights by exploiting the Legion's reliance on synergizing their ultimates, splitting up to bait them into wasting their ults before truely engaging. It finally worked as the Legion blew all their ultimates on Gladiator with the token and ddt got destroyed. Game snowballed from there and ddt conceded in the 49th minute.
Dilated's team made a good pick move at game 2, realising that iMp will most likely concede to the trilane again, they picked Sand Wraith and had their support heroes stack creep camps early on. Their lineup was essentially a set up to drag the game long enough till Sand Wraith gets farmed. iMp gets an early lead as expected but ignoring Sand Wraith would soon prove to be a mistake that would come back and haunt them.
Superior execution won iMp the 1st 5v5 teamfight, but Sand Wraith had already got his Sword of the High along with a Helm 22 minutes in. Things were looking intense as every succeeding teamfight led to a 4v4 exchange. Valkyrie was getting farmed up as well as she was constantly ddt's survivor in teamfights. The game essentially turned around when ddt intercepted iMp's Kongor attempt, genociding them in the process, but an odd decision decided to place the token on Valk instead of Sand Wraith. The decision turned out to be a good one as the token on Valkyrie proved to be the decisive factor in the coming teamfight.
iMp were desperate to hang on as they won some teamfights and this time intercepted ddt's Kongor. However, Maliken with the token still fell easily to a farmed Valkyrie and Sand Wraith. iMp conceded at the 55th minute mark.
ddt proved their strategizing prowess again in game 3, opting to not ban iMp's strongest hero Wretched Hag but managing to pick him 1st. They got th eearly lead this time as they were winning their trilane vs trilane battle. A good series of ganks gave Hellbourne a 7.7k gold lead while a 20 minute Kongor pulled the gap even further.
iMp never really managed to recover from their bad start. Every good thing they did was followed up by something better by ddt resukting in the gap getting wider. ddt eventually pushed in the bottom lane by 36 minutes. iMp conceded at 41 minutes.

The HoN competitive scene has had it's fair share of complaints from professional teams about latency issues regarding server selection. Famed for being able to consistently perform on high ping, unfortunately this time it was DuskBin eSports who have been plagued with net problems. Consistently disconnecting, sometimes during crucial moments of the games cost DuskBin dearly as they fell to ddt 2-0.
Game 1 was really a gamble gone wrong for DuskBin, hoping that the nerfed version of The Dark Lady could outcarry a farmed Sand Wraith unfortunately did not pan out for them. Game 2 was really where the latency issues got in the way for DuskBin. Due to too many disconnects, dilated's dream team, who already waited on numerous ocassions decided to bring up Rule 6 of the World Cup which allowed them to demand a continuation of the game 4v5. Even then, DuskBin, this time with a very very farmed Sand Wraith, nearly won the game. The game was painfully lost when zekaykay ( Mr.Swish ) disconnected right before both teams engaged in a mid battle, causing DuskBin to lose the resultant 3v5 fight and have their mid lane pushed in. Mad props for DuskBin for holding on to the last second where Forsaken Archer with a token kamikaze dived to take down the shrine.
