The Saudi Arabia-based teams will replace RSG Philippines and Blacklist International for MPL Philippines Season 15.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines have announced that Saudi Arabia-based esports organisations Team Falcons and Twisted Minds will be joining the league for its 15th season. MPL Philippines announced its new entrants in a business luncheon in the Philippines on Friday (January 24), with Team Falcons and Twisted Minds set to replace the departing RSG Philippines and Blacklist International.
While Team Falcons isn't a stranger to MPL Philippines, this will be the first time they will field their own roster. Previously, they were partnered with AP.Bren to field the Falcons AP.Bren team. However, the two organisations ended their six-month partnership last week.
On the other hand, Twisted Minds has fielded a Saudi Arabian MLBB team since September 2023. This will mark the first time that they will field a team outside of Saudi Arabia.

Grant Rousseau, Global Director of Esports for Team Falcons, explained that over the last year, they learned about the MLBB scene in the Philippines and have fallen in love with fans in the country.
“We’ve been doing this for a year and have truly fallen in love with the fans, the game’s popularity, and the level of interaction between fans and teams. That’s when we decided, ‘It’s time for us to do this ourselves.’”
The Team Falcons representative also mentioned that the Philippines is the perfect location to establish their base and expand their presence in MLBB's heartland of Southeast Asia.
Ibrahim Bin Jibreen, CEO of Twisted Minds, added that the Philippines' MLBB scene is the best, especially regarding community building and competition.
"We wanted to have our own journey in the Philippines' MLBB esports scene as it is the best one, especially when it comes to community building and competition. We're excited to bring opportunities for players, coaches, and managers — all of them will be composed of Filipinos. It will be an opportunity for us to know the Filipino market by working with them and we will provide them with a place to work in."
The Inclusion of both Twisted Minds and Team Falcons wasn't a surprise for everyone who followed the rumour mill during the offseason. Both teams were already rumoured to join the league back when Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna talked about MPL Philippines Season 15 in his stream. These rumours were even more boosted when RSG Philippines and Blacklist International exited the league.
RSG Philippines and Blacklist International both announced their exit from MPL Philippines earlier in the week. Blacklist International said that their decision to leave MPL Philippines was made in response to a business opportunity presented to them, which aligns with the new direction of their parent company, Tier One Entertainment, to go beyond the esports realm. RSG Philippines, meanwhile, teased that they won't be entirely gone from the scene with their announcement.
While both Team Falcons and Twisted Minds had already announced their inclusion in MPL Philippines for its 15th season, both teams have yet to reveal their rosters.
