This comes after the team failed to win a single match in the MPL Philippines Season 14 Regular Season.
TNC Pro Team has geared up for a full rebuild of its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) division for the next season of the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines by releasing eight of their personnel.
TNC released players Christian “HEADS” Morada, Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales, Nomed, Daniel “SDzyz” Chu, and Jomearie “Escalera” Delos Santos as well as head coach Caisam Yvez "Wolf" Nopueto, assistant coach Patrick "E2MAX" Caidic, and analyst Jetson “Goyo” Ignacio from the coaching staff.
The exodus happened after TNC's disappointing tenure in MPL Philippines Season 14, where they finished rock bottom for the sixth season in a row. What was more disappointing was that they were winless during the Regular Season, performing worse than in Season 13, where they still had two wins out of fourteen matches in the league.
While TNC released five players, they did retain three: Ken Louie Bermudes “Kzen” Pile, Lance Cunanan “LanceCy” Cunanan, and Salvick Guiyab “Kouzen” Tolarba. They will join newly recruited former M World Series winner Tristan “YAWI” Cabrera.
Team Liquid ID released YAWI after the conclusion of MPL Indonesia Season 14 and before the M6 World Championship alongside James “Jeymz” Gloria.
TNC's performance in Season 14 was one that every team member surely wanted to forget. Before the start of the season, it was expected that the team would improve as they recruited former members of Minana EVOS, Kzen and LanceCy, alongside a veteran of the league in Escalera. They also provided a chance for Wolf to prove himself after his stint with ONIC Philippines in Season 6 throughout Season 8.
However, TNC's debut was disappointing as Omega Esports and Fnatic ONIC PH dismantled them in Week 1 of the Regular Season. They had a chance to prove themselves the following week when they faced Team Liquid PH and RSG Philippines, but still failed to win a single game.
The trend that followed was they managed to secure one game against the best team in the league but failed to win the match. They stole a game against Aurora Gaming twice, Falcons AP.Bren once, and Blacklist International once. Ultimately, they finished rock bottom.
With the acquisition of Yawi and the retention of three players, it might still be a new dawn for the TNC in MPL Philippines Season 15, depending on who they will get for the other positions and their coaching staff.
