Yue and OhMyV33NUS depart from Blacklist International

It may be time for MSC 2024, but roster shuffles for teams outside the tournament have begun – and Blacklist International are the ones making waves.

While teams from around the world are fighting across the Land of Dawn to become the champions of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2024, others are beginning to look ahead to the latter half of the year and who will be on their respective teams. Blacklist International may have had a decent end to 2023 with a second-place finish in the Philippines Professional League Season 12 and third at the M5 World Championship, but now it seems as though a rebuild is on the cards.

The Queen departs

Yesterday we saw an announcement from Kenneth Carl “Yue” Tadeo via his social media that he would be departing from the Blacklist squad. Having joined the squad in the early parts of 2023, Yue brought a special something to the team in the middle lane role, excelling with heroes such as Valentina and Yve. Unfortunately for Yue, he never experienced the true peak of the roster, walking away with two second-place finishes at MPL PH Season 11 and 12, fourth in Season 13, second at MSC 2023, and a third-place finish at M5. Yue left the team mentioning that he wanted to explore outside his comfort zone and that he would hopefully meet his now ex-teammates in the Land of Dawn again as opponents.

Following this news, in the early hours of July 4th, Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna also announced their exit from the roster. Once again, via social media accounts, the Queen Support of Blacklist gave entire insight into the decision to depart from the organisation. On the one hand, V33NUS had not been active since the conclusion of MSC 2023, having decided to take a hiatus from competitive MLBB. With a long list of achievements with Blacklist, including becoming a three-time champion of MPL PH and the M3 World Champion, the departure of V33NUS leaves the team without a Queen.

At the current time of writing, we have not seen any further departures from the Blacklist International roster, but with MPL PH Season 14 coming up soon after MSC 2024 concludes, we are sure to hear more in the coming weeks. We will continue to keep you updated with all the information regarding roster changes via our GosuGamers MLBB channels.
