After a fantastic Regular Season and 5 days of Playoffs, we made it all the way through to the grand finals of the Mobile Legends Professional League Season 13 in the Philippines. Along the way, we have seen challengers falling by the wayside, with some of the biggest and best teams knocked out. But today, the final two remain – both once World Champions, both once MPL PH winners, and both ready to put it all on the line once more. Falcons AP.Bren and Liquid Echo took to the Land of Dawn one last time in a magnificent best-of-seven to determine the champion of MPL PH Season 13.

Liquid flow through the cracks

When last these two teams met, it was TLPH who took the win in a magnificent 3-2 series, where both teams could have walked away the victors. While FCAP were forced into the lower bracket, they made quick work of RSG PH, and claimed a rematch and a grand finals spot. However, this time TLPH were more than prepared, as they read their opponents like a book at every turn. It came down to a few minor mistakes from FCAP, which TLPH took complete advantage of, punishing them right from game one. By the time FCAP blinked, they were 3-0 down, staring defeat down as TLPH went to series point.

Game four finally saw the side of FCAP which we had become accustomed to, as they played almost perfectly around the map. However, when it came down to it, it was the Lord dance which let them down. The mistakes gave TLPH the opening they required to get back into the game and turn the tables. In the final fight, it was Sanji left standing, as he walked down the middle lane as the sole survivor to complete a huge 4-0 sweep and become the champions of MPL PH Season 13.

It was a massive victory for TLPH, who reclaimed their place atop the standings in the Philippines and lifted the trophy. For FCAP, it was an unfortunate end to their season, but both teams would be back at the Mid Season Cup 2024 later this year as they represent their region in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the Esports World Cup.
