Yawi confessed it was his last match in MPL Indonesia Season 13 after AURA Fire’s Week 9 series; what's happening?
Following AURA Fire’s last league match in MPL Indonesia Season 13, Yawi was seen crying on stage, saying it was his last match and thanking everybody cheering for them. The situation seems so sudden; what is happening with Yawi?
During the post-match press conference in MPL Indonesia S13, Pahlevi, one of the coaches from AURA Fire, said that Yawi felt emotional after the match. However, he also noted that there's also pressure from fans and the fact that he's the only Filipino player in the team. Pahlevi also noted that Yawi still can play in the playoff for AURA Fire. He also clarified that no side wanted a farewell between them and pleaded to wait for further notices.
The coach also said that Yawi's contract with AURA is still long, and the team has no plan to put the player on the transfer list. Yawi was obliged to play any series for AURA Fire if needed by the team, as part of his professional player contract, under any circumstances. If Yawi didn't play for AURA in the playoffs, they can get High to step up. However, the gap in playing time this season between both could raise questions regarding AURA's performance in the crucial stage.
AURA Fire has already secured their place in the playoff season but still needs to wait for Rebellion Esports' result against Geek Fam in the last series of MPL Indonesia S13 Week 9 to determine who will join them on the stage.
