While some MPL regions are completing their seasons, Singapore is set to begin its month-long battle this coming weekend as Season 7 kicks off.
So far in 2024, we have seen a veritable smorgasbord of Mobile Legends Professional League action from many different regions. Latin America heads into their grand final this weekend, while the Philippines completes its Regular Season – with Middle East & North Africa, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Malaysia all still going strong too. However, this week we see our attention turned to the beginning of MPL Singapore Season 7, as the teams are primed to kick off the event.
May 4th, 2024, is when things kick off for MPL SG Season 7, as eight teams descend on Zenway Studios to begin their battle to become the champions of the region. This season will not only see a champion crowned for the region, but that team will secure themselves a spot to represent SG at the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2024 in the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia. The prestige behind the newly revamped MLBB Southeast Asia Cup now comes with a gigantic prize pool of $3,500,000 for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, which means that every team will want to be there to claim their share.
With every team playing throughout every week of the MPL SG Regular Season, things are going to get heated very quickly in May. With two days of action per weekend, every weekend through to the 25th, fans can catch all their favourite teams and players live in action at Zenway Studios – with only a need to pre-register for the matches they are attending. For those who cannot make it to the venue, this year will see MPL SG hosting multiple watch parties for fans, all with just as much spectacle and action as the live venue.
MPL SG Season 7 has a number of interesting storylines that could develop during the month of May, with the returning Champions, Team Flash, looking to secure another victory, and everyone in their path hoping to stop them in their tracks. While we will have to wait until Week 2 for the team to have a grand finals rematch against RSG Singapore, that does not take anything away from Week 1’s upcoming action.
