MSC 2024 is just around the corner, with the main event following the Wild Card, and a massive $3,000,000 prize pool for the tournament.
From June 28th through to July 14th of this year, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event will feature a Wild Card Tournament, featuring eight teams before the main event kicks off with a total of sixteen teams fighting it out for the gigantic prize pool – with the tournament being a part of the Esports World Cup this year. With so much information flying around, we have compiled a survival guide for MSC 2024.
The first qualifier
On April 21st, the first qualifier for MSC 2024 was confirmed, as the M Challenge Cup Mekong Season 3 came to an end. With twelve teams from Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Brunei, and Bhutan all coming together to fight, it was the Vietnamese team of Zino Zenith who secured a 4-0 victory over Niightmare Esports in the grand finals – securing their spot in the Wild Card Tournament, and a chance to make a name for themselves on the main stage at MSC 2024 too.
The Wild Card
To kick things off for MSC 2024, we have a Wild Card Tournament, which will see eight qualifying teams from various different regions fighting to obtain the final spot in the main event. As mentioned previously, the first challenger has already been found, and the rest will soon join them in the amazing event. The image below shows the allocation of regional slots for the Wild Card Tournament.
The winner of the Wild Card Tournament will head straight into the final sixteen teams to feature at the main MSC 2024 event, and will be fighting against some of the best in the world for their share of the epic $3,000,000 prize pool on offer.
The MLBB Mid Season Cup 2024
After rebranding away from the MLLB Southeast Asia Cup, which saw its last iteration in 2023, MSC now seeks to even further build an international audience and participants in this tournament. Last year saw the likes of the Middle East & North Africa, North America, Turkey, and Mekong joining the event. This year will see those regions, as well as CIS, Latin America, and China appearing within the tournament – and this year will see it as part of the Esports World Cup, while also being held outside the SEA for the first time ever for an international MLBB event.
Sixteen teams from various regions will all descend on Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as MLBB takes flight and looks to bring thousands to the international stage for an amazing event. Not only will these teams be making MLBB history by competing outside of SEA for the first time at an international event, but they will all be looking to claim their share of the huge $3,000,000 prize pool on offer.
The full breakdown of the teams and how they qualify to MSC 2024 can be seen in the image below.
