MLBB introduces the chip-eating, portal-making fox, Chip

MLBB introduces their newest hero, Chip, with game-changing unique portal abilities

Mobile Legends introduces their newest hero into the Land of Dawn: Chip. This chip-eating and portal-using hero will be the game's latest tank and support. His ability to produce portals makes him able to call his teammates to his position instantly, making him a threat and centrepiece of every team fight.

Chip's spells centre around his abilities to start fights and survive in skirmishes, and crucial pickoff threats. He can boost his speed to knock back enemies and use his stun to lockdown nearby foes. His passive regeneration allows him to roam around without basing.

Here are the complete explanation of Chip's abilities:

Passive - Snack Time!

Chip snacks his potato chip to recover health when out of combat. He munched his chip every second, and after five bites, he recovered some of his health. After healing, Chip will get full and will not bite until the status disappears.

Chip's ability to passively heal while out of combat makes him a great roamer and a constant threat to enemies in the lane. He can combine with the Jungler to engage, creating a 3-on-1 or 3-on-2 situation in the early games.

1st Skill – Crash Course

Chip jumps and lands on the spot, creating a shockwave that damages every enemy around him. Every enemy hit will leave Chip's mark on them. If Chip hits an enemy with a mark on it, it will explode, dealing a percentage of enemy health and stun for a short duration. Chip can hit all enemies with a mark with one auto attack, granted they are near the enemy that gets hit.

Crash Course is your primary source of damage and is great against enemies with high health because it deals HP Percentage damage. Furthermore, it has stun properties and can disrupt an enemy's channelling abilities.

2nd Skill – Overtime

Chip gains ramping movement speed for two seconds and maintains its full speed for another two seconds. While Overtime is active, Chip can charge himself to an enemy. The charge deals magic damage and knocks back whoever gets hit.

Chip can use this ability to roam and engage enemies outside their vision. The full charge movement speed is long enough to cover a lot of distance, making it also a great tool to return to the lane after basing.

Ultimate – Shortcut

Chip makes a portal in an area. Enemies caught in the area will get slowed while the portal is manifesting. After the portal is completed, the enemy in the area will get damaged and further slowed.

When the portal is complete, a mini-portal will spawn beside Chip's allies and behind the base turret. The mini portal can be used to teleport to the main portal Chip created on top of the enemy by his team and foe. The main portal will inherit a percentage of Chip's HP. The user can also use the main portal to return to the mini-portal they came through if they stand on it for a while.

This ability is the bread and butter of Chip's ridiculous pickoff potential. Chip can use this portal to decimate enemies he ganked with his friend's help. This ability can also be utilised to turn around a gank into a surprise counter-gank. The shortcut can also launch a surprise attack to destroy key objectives. The potential of this ability is limitless.

Special – Why Walk?

When Chip is in the game, four special beacons will spawn in a fixed location around the map. Chip can use this beacon to teleport to another instantly. Chip can't use the beacon for a while after teleporting.

This unique skill of Chip is another crucial piece for his unrivalled ganking potential. He can quickly scour the map and catch unsuspecting foes off-guard.

Chip's kit is suitable for capitalising on the enemy's lack of map awareness and emphasising ganking in the game. However, can this chip-eating fox will be able to stand the test of time?
