While the teams had a day’s break from the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang action, today MSC 2023 continued, but now with the Knockout Stage. What this means for the final eight teams is that a single series loss would be all it takes for their hopes of becoming the new champion of the event to come to a crushing end. The first two teams on the Land of Dawn would be the home team, Cambodia’s BURN x FLASH, taking on the Singaporean stunners, RSG Slate SG.

Having dominated the Group Stage, RSG seemed to be on a fantastic streak, without a game lost when they went into the Knockout Stage. This all changed when they found themselves face to face against a team which played with all-out aggression from start to finish – especially with their fans cheering right in front of them. BURN took charge of the series from two Bane picks in the first two games, as RSG struggled to come to grips with anything thrown at them, even when they looked to be the aggressors.

With match point in hand, the Cambodians seemed to remain calm and collected, progressing from objective to kill across the map, leaving RSG without any room. Banning away Diablo’s heroes and shutting down Okky was the perfect plan, as BURN massacred their opponents in a clean 3-0 sweep and moved forward into the semi-finals of MSC 2023.

For RSG Slate SG, their early tournament brilliance was not enough to see them coast through the next round, and they would be the first team eliminated from the MSC 2023 Knockout Stage. BURN x FLASH will now eagerly be watching the next series between Blacklist International and Fire Flux Impunity to learn more about the team which could be their next opponent.
