Fenix Esports set to represent Myanmar at MSC 2023

MSC 2023 might still be two months away, but we already have three confirmed teams for the event, with Fenix Esports coming in as the Myanmar representative.

While most eyes were on the MPL Indonesia Season 11 grand final over the recent weekend, Myanmar’s qualifier for the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup 2023 was reaching its pinnacle. After Falcon Esports impressed everyone at both MSC 2022 and the M4 World Championships, they were expected to be the representatives for this year’s iteration – but that was not the case. Having been knocked into the lower bracket by the eventual victors, Falcon was eliminated by AI Esports – a team we last saw at the M4 Myanmar Qualifiers, where they finished in fifth/sixth.

Amazingly, a new challenger has now appeared from a region which is well-known for creating some impressive squads which can often cause massive upsets at events such as the M-series and MSC. Fenix Esports managed to take a flawless group stage run and turn it into a first-time appearance at their first-ever MLBB major event.

Fenix join both ONIC Esports and EVOS Legends on the roster of teams now confirmed for MSC 2023, with the list to grow over the coming weeks with the culmination of multiple MPL tournaments as well as qualifiers. MSC 2023 will feature a total of 12 teams, and for the first time ever will also include teams from outside the Southeast Asia regions, with North America and MENA being two such regions. The event will take place from June 10th through to the 18th, coming to us from Phnom Penh in Cambodia.

We will have much more information on MSC 2023 in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to our Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tab for all the news, insights, and qualifications as we countdown to the tournament.
