Cambodia will be the location for MSC 2023

As Mobile Legends: Bang Bang continues its outward growth, Moonton have today confirmed the location for MSC 2023.

This year we have already seen Moonton grow the MLBB scene in a fantastic way, adding teams from outside Southeast Asia into the pool for MSC 2023 for the first time ever. Continuing in that regard, today saw a massive announcement from the MLBB developer, which involved the expanding of MSC 2023 – the location of the event. It was confirmed that the Esports Federation Cambodia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Moonton to be the hosts of the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup this year.

Cambodia, having recently shown some massive improvements in MLBB, as well as gaining their very own MPL tournament, have taken a massive step this year. With the 32nd Southeast Asian Games already being confirmed for Phnom Penh, the Capital City, Cambodia are now set to have even bigger development with MSC 2023 bringing in even more tourism for its esports side.

The MoU was penned by Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystem at Moonton Games, and His Excellency Chea Chanboribo, the EFC Secretary State at the Ministry of Information and President – who also had the following to say on this auspicious occasion,

I am pleased that the Esports Federation Cambodia and MOONTON Games jointly organized the signing ceremony of the MoU to establish a new partnership in organizing the MSC 2023 for the first time in Phnom Penh. The signing is part of a joint effort to develop the local esports industry and create more events in the country for athletes. The opportunity to host this major international event is a testament to the development of the Kingdom of Cambodia in general and in the field of esports. Thank you to MOONTON Games for co-organizing the event in Cambodia."

Having already made history with their addition of non-SEA teams inclusion in MSC 2023, Cambodia stands to have one of the biggest mid-year periods ever, with both the aforementioned tournament and the SEA Games all taking place one after another. You can catch all the MLBB action at the SEA Games from May 10 through to the 15, while MSC is set to take place in June – with no official dates confirmed at time of writing.
