In May of this year, the 32nd iteration of the Southeast Asia Games is set to take place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital city. The event features a vast array of different “regular” sports, such as swimming, cricket, and tennis – while also offering medals in certain esports. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is one of those esports which is heavily contested within the SEA Games, especially with the game being so prolific within the region. For the upcoming SEA Games, Indonesia’s roster has been confirmed, with four players from the previous event retaining their spot.
The ID roster for MLBB at the 2023 SEA Games will see both Alberttt and Vynnn of RRQ returning, having both played at the previous iteration of the event. This time, they will be joined by Kiboy and Sanz of ONIC Esports, as well as three players from the EVOS Legends roster. The full ID roster heading to Cambodia for the SEA Games is:
Albert Neilsen “ALBERTTT” Iskandar
Jabran Bagus “Branz” Wiloko
SANZ
Rizqi “Saykots” Damank
Vynnn
Nicky “Kiboy” Fernando
Rachmad “DreamS” Wahyudi
Alongside this, the team has a total of three stellar coaches, who were heavily involved in putting this squad together. With Zeys as the main coach, having already taken ID to a victory once before at the IESF World Esports Championship 2022, and both Adi and TaxStump as his wing-men, this team could finally put a stop to the domination of Philippines.
With that said, the PH roster includes the full Bren Esports squad, who have been doing extremely well in their local MPL PH event recently. For now, we will have to wait until May before we see what these rosters can do at the 2023 SEA Games.
