While we waved goodbye to Bigetron Alpha earlier in the day, the upper bracket series would see the first Indonesian team to secure a spot at M4.

With Day 3 of the Mobile Legends Professional League Season 10 in Indonesia we would witness an upper bracket final between RRQ Hoshi and Onic Esports. These two teams have constantly fought back-and-forth for control of the region, with RRQ being the latest victor, taking the MPL ID Season 9 championships. However, today would not only have a spot in the grand finals on the line, but the first Indonesian spot for the M4 World Championships too – and both teams would be wanting to secure this.
Fourth time’s a charm
Having attended all three of the previous World Championships, RRQ had a lot on the line going into the upper bracket final. Not only would a victory for the Kings of Kings secure them a spot in the grand finals of MPL ID Season 10, but it would also ensure that they would be the second team to attend every World Championship, after TODAK secured their spot for Malaysia last week. RRQ also have a history of excelling when it comes to the World Championships, placing in the top three twice, but they would be hoping that M4 could be different.
While ONIC were on the front foot first, taking the victory in game one of the series, RRQ would not sit back and let this slide. With Skylar on Beatrix for the next two games, the reigning champions were able to pull ahead, giving themselves series point, and leaving ONIC in their dust, with the need to fight back. Game four of the series was an intense brawl between the two teams, lasting nearly half an hour, with neither wanting to give up control of the game. Eventually, when the dust settled, the squad left standing would be the ones with the most to gain, RRQ Hoshi, the Kings of Kings.
The victory for RRQ secures them a spot in the MPL ID Season 10 grand finals, where they will be hoping to defend their title – while also ensuring that the Indonesian squad will be appearing at their fourth World Championship event. For ONIC Esports, they will need to break through AURA Fire in the lower bracket final if they want another shot at taking down RRQ.
