Philippines reigned supreme at the M3 World Championships with the top two spots going to teams from that region – Blacklist International and Onic PH respectively. However, with that now over, we begin to work our way towards the next iteration of the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines, with Season 9 now on the horizon. Although the participating teams will have a rest over the Christmas and New Year’s period, the first major team changes have been confirmed, as ECHO announced their new roster earlier today.

ECHO was able to reach the playoff stage of MPL PH Season 8, after a very up-and-down egular season, but they were eliminated rather swiftly in the lower bracket, as Smart Omega Esports claimed a 3-1 victory. It was not long after the end of Season 8 that ECHO announced the departure of a few members including Coach Dale, Jaymeister, Invoker, FlySolo, and Aspect. However, with their announcement today, ECHO confirmed a host of new players, many of whom are veterans of MLBB.

In a rather epic video, which saw the squad donning suits and arming themselves as they performed a skit of a heist. As the heist continues, we learn of the teams’ latest additions, which are KarlTzy, Killuash, 3MarTzy, and Killuash. These players, as mentioned previously, are far from newcomers to MPL PH or MLBB in general.

For those that have followed the scene for some time, you will remember Killuash as a two-time MPL PH winner with ArkAngel in Season 3, and Sunsparks in Season 5, before joining Aura PH in Season 6 and 7. After admitting that he needed a break prior to Season 8, Killuash now returns to bolster the ECHO roster. Apart from his return, the team also sees themselves gaining the M2 MVP, KarlTzy, as well as 3MarTzy and Yawi from TNC and Nexplay EVOS respectively.

The full newly built ECHO roster is for MPL PH Season 9 is:

  • Aaronqt
  • Bennyqt
  • Rk3
  • Rafflesia
  • 3MarTzy
  • KarlTzy
  • KurTzy
  • Hadesss
  • Yawi
  • Killuash

With a 10-player roster confirmed, we can expect to see some big plays from ECHO when Season 9 begins, as they will possibly look to change their lineup constantly, especially with the sheer amount of talent available. We will continue to bring you any and all team changes that are announced as we look towards MPL PH Season 9, and finding out if Blacklist can take it for a third time in a row.
