The MPL Philippines Season 14 has concluded its regular season. For over eight weeks, gruelling matches took place between eight teams. One team dominated the league through the last series, and two teams were eliminated.
Without further ado, here are the six teams proceeding to the playoffs:
1. Aurora Gaming
As the new kid on the block, Aurora Gaming got a respectable fourth-place finish in the league. The squad showed promise here and there. They dominated in the first half of the league, beating every team except Falcons AP.Bren and Fnatic ONIC Philippines. However, Aurora Gaming failed to maintain their third-place finish as they lost to Blacklist International on the final day.
2. Blacklist International
Blacklist International was one of the teams that had a complete revamp of their squad, with almost everybody from the team leaving to join another organisation. They recruited eight new players to the team while successfully retaining OHEB and Kimpoy, with Lord JM as the only loanee.
However, this revamp resulted in a not-so-successful campaign this season, as they barely secured the playoff spot on the last day of the regular season. They beat Aurora Gaming in a 2-1 series after RSG Philippines failed to gain one victory from their previous two matches.
3. Falcons AP.Bren
The M5 World Champion was one of the favourites to win the tournament with their performance back in MSC 2024 and the previous season. Falcons AP.Bren proved once again that they are the top dog of MPL Philippines. However, they showed a little bit of weakness after they slipped a point from Blacklist International and Omega Esports.
4. Fnatic ONIC PH

The weapon X of MPL Philippines as they took the league by storm with how dominant they were in the regular season. Thirteen wins and one loss from the regular season, with the only team that took a series from them being Omega Esports. FNATIC Onic PH are by far the favourites to win the tournament if they can maintain their gameplay once the playoffs begin.
5. Omega Esports
Speaking of Omega Esports, they are one of the unexpected forces this season after their horrendous finish last season. The OneShot Army put down a clinic on MLBB when they overpowered the undefeated Fnatic ONIC PH on the previous day. This shows why they were worthy to stand on the stage this season.
Omega Esports might surprise everyone if they can maintain their form come the playoff.
6. Team Liquid PH
The Season 13 champion looked too vulnerable this season as their results were too shaky even from the beginning. Team Liquid PH's performance this season could be summarised as a roller coaster. At one time, they quickly dominated their opponents, while other times, they made the enemy look like the Prime ECHO from the M4 World Championship.
They secured the playoff spot in the seventh week, winning both matches they were in against Blacklist International and RSG Philippines.
The MPL Philippines playoff starts on October 16th to October 20th 2024. All six teams will compete for a USD 150,000 prize pool and two slots in the M6 World Championship. One question remains: which team will be the champion of MPL Philippines?
