MLBB Women's Invitational 2024: Tidal Legends Gaming, the best from the land of prodigies

Coming from the land of prodigies, this is Tidal Legends Gaming’s chance to shock the world at MWI 2024.

The MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) is a stage for many teams to show themselves to the world. With teams from outside Southeast Asia participating, the 2024 edition of MWI hosted an even more extensive selection of talents from the women’s MLBB scene. One region, newer than others, also debuted in this tournament: China.

Tidal Legends Gaming, hailing from China, was one of the debutants in this edition of MWI qualifiers. Almost everyone acknowledged the land as a producer of prodigies after prodigies in the esports Industry. How far will the team go in the grandest women MLBB’s stage? Can they rise from the pressure of the expectations given to them or fall from it?

The product from the land of geniuses

One region known to produce one genius after another was China. Tidal Legends Gaming represents the region in the MLBB Women's Invitational 2024. They completed their qualification for the tournament by being in first place in the China Qualifier tournament and one of the teams that performed well in content creation.

Their qualification for the tournament was as smooth sailing as crossing a pool. The team went 4-0 in the group stage qualifier to top the leaderboard, losing only one game in the process.

They also dominated the playoff as they 2-0’d LOT in the semifinals before being crowned the champion after defeating aGirl Esports 3-1 in the grand final of the MWI 2024 China Qualifier.

This achievement was more impressive when considering that the team only had a month of training before being the champion of the qualifier and only losing twice in the qualifier.

The talent of TLG’s personnel was not questioned; however, their lack of experience was, especially considering that many other teams, such as Team Vitality Female, Falcons Vega, and Smart Omega Empress have a more impressive track record in the tournament.

However, their lack of experience also means less information about them. That fact can be a key to their success at the MLBB Women’s Invitational 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Could Tidal Legends Gaming shock the world in the tournament and put China on the map for the women’s MLBB scene?

The prodigal team with a lot on their back

The squad of Tidal Legends Gaming consists of six talented personalities unique to one another. Some of their members are established names in the gaming and esports Industry. A perfect example was Bay, the EXP Laner of Tidal Legends Gaming. She has been a MOBA esports player since 2020 and will now try to dominate the Mobile Legends scene with her experience.

Almost all members of Tidal Legends Gaming joined simultaneously, with only SixOne as the exception, as she joined after the conclusion of the China Qualifier. The 18-year-old was seen as one of the brightest talents in esports, as she had already secured a place in the squad, albeit only as a sub.

Here is their lineup for the upcoming MWI 2024:

Zhang “CatVin” Bo Wen will coach Tidal Legends Gaming, and Yuan “Gangan” Shen Ao will accompany CatVin as the team's analyst. Together, they will lead the unique mix of talent in MWI 2024, try to guide them to win the tournament and put their names into the annals of the most remarkable women MLBB players.

TLG’s choice of heroes also shows their uniqueness in gameplay. A great example was the choice of signature heroes for their midlane and roamer. Vermouth was a Cyclops main, and Kenzaki was proficient in Diggie. Cyclops was a great one, as he excelled in poking and total lockdown on one target. Diggie, on the other hand, can give a team-wide anti-CC buff in a team fight.

The most interesting choice was for Bay, their star player, as she was the team's jack-of-all-trades.

Bay, The queen of fighters

Perhaps the most exciting player in Tidal Legends Gaming was their star player, Bay. The talented EXP laner was dubbed Bay, the Queen of Fighters, by the Chinese community for her dedication and expertise in using Paquito. Her IGN, Bay, can also be translated as North in Chinese letter (北), changing her nickname to The North Queen of Fighters.

As mentioned above, Bay has been an esports player for four years. In addition to her expertise in playing, she is also an esports content creator, making her a unique blend of entertainment and talent, worthy of being called a prodigy.

She also confessed to not having a preferred hero in Mobile Legends as she believed she had the talent to play all of them; her team also backed this and proclaimed her pool of heroes a sea.

Can the talented Tidal Legends Gaming shock the world in the MLBB Women’s Invitational 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia? Make sure to catch their action in the tournament as part of the Esports World Cup!

In the coming weeks, the GosuGamers MLBB channels will provide more information on all the teams and the crazy $500,000 tournament as we begin our countdown to MWI 2024.
