MPL Indonesia Season 13 is around the corner. What can you expect from the first half of 2024's league?
MPL ID Season 13 is around the corner, and we will see the action from the best team in one of the most vital regions in Mobile Legends, Indonesia. The players, the teams, and the fans will enjoy the thrill of competition from the finest.
However, knowing who and what makes the competition more exciting is precisely why the fans are always waiting for the next match. Every round is unmissable; knowing the results only tells half the story.
Entering MPL ID Season 13, Here are the biggest stories and what you can expect!
The world champion coach joins RRQ Hoshi
World champion leading coach Vrendon Pesebre, or Vren, joins RRQ Hoshi for the new MPL ID Season 13 season. This will be the second time Vren has joined an Indonesian team. He was part of Bigetron Alpha then and achieved 4th place in MPL ID Season 10.
After winning the MPL Philippines and the M5 World Championship, Vrendon will try to get himself the trophy that fled him in Season 10 and lead RRQ Hoshi to their former glory again.
Tazz's proving chance
The prodigy from EVOS Legends left the team to prove his talent, joining Alter Ego as their first team, Jungler. Tazz's story will be like one of those classic coming-to-age tales. With a new environment, new teammates, and new motivation, It will be interesting to see whether he can lead Alter Ego to success.
Tazz was promoted to the first team of EVOS Legends back in 2022 after winning the MDL Season 5 with EVOS Icon. However, Tazz played second fiddle to Sutsujin when the former had a dip in form. He regained his spot in Season 12 but failed to lead the team to the playoffs.
EVOS' new name for a new era?
The new season comes with a new EVOS. The White Tiger of Indonesia changed their name from EVOS Legends to EVOS Glory, remembering their glory from M1 and how they are the dominant forces.
They added Super Red from Blacklist International to their lineup. With new players, new names, and seasons, it will be interesting to see whether the team can compete with the influx of players coming to Season 13.
Another title for ONIC Esports?
ONIC Esports only has one change to their team: Drian is leaving. Besides that, the team will look to defend their champion status against the new challenger. With everybody bolstering their lineup with players from the Philippines, it is interesting to see the interaction between them and ONIC Esports.
When ONIC fans are ready to start the season without their head coach, Yeb returns from his break to join Super Sonic in their quest to stay on top of the food chain in MPL ID.
The invasion from PH players
Season 13 will be marked as when the influx of PH players invaded MPL Indonesia. A total of nine players from the Philippines are registered for Season 13. Geek Fam ID, RRQ Hoshi, and Bigetron Alpha are currently leading with two players from the Philippines.
Some were known names in the Indonesian scene, like Kairi and Baloyskie. The most exciting one to see is Yawi, who joined AURA Fire from ECHO, their sister team. Can he be the key to AURA's Success in Season 13?
MPL Indonesia will start on March 8th, 2024. Nine teams will join the Group Stage, and the best six teams will proceed to the playoffs.
