MPL MY Season 12: Team Lunatix' season could be over

Having already been a part of some huge drama prior to the beginning of MPL MY Season 12, Team Lunatix continues to struggle to find their form.

By now everyone should have heard about the rather intense situation that followed Team Lunatix players prior to the start of the Mobile Legends Professional League’s twelfth season in Malaysia. As a quick reminder, the team’s Myanmar representatives decided to simply return to their country, avoiding their contractual obligations. Thanks to an investigation, the players were essentially made to fulfil their contractual obligations, while Lunatix themselves would have to complete the payment of these players.

Following this, it was expected that Lunatix would definitely have a rough opening week in MPL MY Season 12, especially without two players. However, something unexpected is that they would be the only team without a single game victory after a total of four series. As Week 3 approaches, Lunatix is definitely about to feel the pressure build up even more.

One of the main aspects of the team that seems to be a huge problem is their severe lack of synergy, which is due to their pre-season problems. While the team certainly have the ability to cause problems, their early game problems are only exasperated with each new series, as their poor micro and macro shows over and over again. It would seem as though the effects of the problems have destroyed any confidence that the team previously had, but a victory could turn everything around.

Week 3 of MPL MY Season 12 gives them their best chance, as they start things off against Team Secret. Although Secret claimed their first-ever game victory last week, they are still lacking a series win, which could be the opening Lunatix requires. With that said, if they fail at the first hurdle, it will be Team HAQ waiting for them, which is a much bigger task.

MPL MY Season 12 Week 3 kicks off on Friday, September 1st, with Lunatix playing the second series for the day, with their next game coming on Sunday, September 3rd. It will be interesting to see if this will be the way back for Lunatix, or if this season is completely over already for the team.
