The end of RRQ could be around the corner

Rex Regum Qeon has been one of the top MLBB teams in the world for some time – but could their recent dip in form end the dynasty we know?

Since the beginning of the Mobile Legends Professional League in Indonesia, RRQ has been a team which always found its way to the top – and in the few seasons where they did not, it was considered a massive upset. With their string of podium finishes in the past, as well as some magnificent top-tier placements in the M-series, RRQ has always been a powerhouse of immense MLBB talent. But even with all of that, the team’s performance at MPL ID Season 11 has left them visibly frazzled, and it is possible that some significant changes are on the cards.

In a Discord call highlighted by Daily SPIN Indonesia, currently inactive Rivaldi “R7” Fatah explained how he feels RRQ and Season 12 will play out – postulating that the team could see an entire overhaul. In the discussion, R7 explains that the team seems to be undergoing "burnout", especially after so many close calls with victory but nothing sticking in recent times.

While nothing has been confirmed, revealed, or announced, the words of R7 do stand true, as RRQ have seemed to be a little shaky at times when it comes to big games in tournaments. However, the team could also require a short break, and the mid-season gap without MSC 2023 could be the perfect time for that. With quite some time until MPL ID Season 12 kicks off, we will surely only hear of any changes closer to the end of MSC, but for now, it does beg the question, is this really the end of the current RRQ dynasty?

The coming months will be extremely telling for RRQ, but with rumours of Zeys coming on board, among other whispers in the background, maybe Season 12 will be their last chance at glory.
