What to watch: League of Legends Summer Split action intensifies

While the LEC is close to crowning their champion, the journey for most teams continues for the LCK, LPL, and the LCS.

The League of Legends esports scene is heating up as most regional leagues are midway through or approaching the end of the Summer Split's second stage.

Adding to the excitement, the European LoL esports scene is also nearing the conclusion of their Summer Playoffs.

With many teams still vying for a spot at the 2024 LoL World Championship, it's going to be an exciting week with matches every day!

LEC: Summer Playoffs

At the forefront is the LoL European Championship (LEC) already in the middle of the Summer Playoffs, having just concluded the Upper Bracket semifinals. This week, every match counts, with teams in the lower bracket fighting for their tournament lives at Lower Bracket Round I.

LCK:  Week 5 Summer Split

The Group Stage of the LoL Championship Korea (LCK) continues with week 5 of the Summer Split. This marks the midpoint of the competition, with four more weeks for teams to secure a spot in the Playoffs, where four teams will qualify for Worlds. 

All the action resumes on Wednesday (17 July), kicking off with DK Plus vs. Brion Esports, followed by Hanwa Life Esports vs. Kwangdong Freecs.

LPL: Rumble Stage

Meanwhile, the Rumble Stage continues for the League of Legends Professional League (LPL). With only three weeks left before the playoffs, a fight for survival among the lowest-ranked teams in the Nirvana (Low) Group and the clash of the juggernauts in the Ascend (Upper) Group will happen this week.

LCS: Summer Split

North America won’t be void of action this week, with matches for the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) resuming this weekend. Four more weeks remain before the Summer Split draws to a close. 

Although two teams remain undefeated and at the forefront of the Group Stage, there’s still plenty of chance for other teams to break through and make it to the playoffs.
