The Dota 2 Champion of Champions Tour (CCT), organised by Gam3rs_x + GRID, will be kicking off its 2025 season with CCT Series 6 on January 21. The tournament will feature 12 teams from all across Europe fighting for their cut of a $50,000 prize pool.
Here's everything you need to know about the Dota 2 CCT Series 6:
Teams
The Dota 2 CCT Series 5 will feature a total of 12 participating teams, split into Playoff Seeds and Group Stage seeds.
The two Playoff Seeds are 9Pandas and Natus Vincere Junior. Meanwhile, the Group Stage seeds include Nemiga Gaming, Passion UA, One Move, Team Turkiye, Zero Tenacity, LFG Esports, 4Pirates, Night Pulse, MOUZ, and Jigglin.
Some of these teams feature experienced and recognisable figures within the scene, including Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov and Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos on Jigglin as well as Tal “Fly” Aizik on MOUZ. Of course, there's plenty of new faces here too, and we just might catch a glimpse of the next big Dota 2 star grinding their way up the ranks here in the CCT.
Format
The Dota 2 CCT Series 5 will be hosted online from January 21 to 31 and is split into two distinct stages: the Group Stage, from January 21 to 25, and the Playoffs, from January 27 to 31.
9Pandas and Natus Vincere Junior have received direct berths to the Playoffs while Nemiga Gaming, Passion UA, One Move, Team Turkiye, Zero Tenacity, LFG Esports, 4Pirates, Night Pulse, MOUZ, and Jigglin will have to start from the Group Stage.
The Group Stage will split the 10 Group Stage seeds into two groups of five teams each and pit them in a single round-robin competitive format with best-of-three matches to determine who will advance to the Playoffs. The Top 3 teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs while the bottom two will be eliminated.
The Playoffs will then follow a double-elimination format with all matches being a best-of-three except for the Grand Finals, which will be a full best-of-five series.
Prize pool
As with all previous events in the series, the Dota 2 CCT Series 5 will feature a prize pool of $50,000, with the champions earning the lion's share of $30,000. Here's the full prize pool breakdown for the tournament:
- 1st: $30,000
- 2nd: $10,000
- 3rd: $7,500
- 4th: $2,500
