PSG Talon live on and get the rematch against FlyQuest for one more shot to move onto the next stage of the Mid-Season Invitational.
Estral ESports has become the first team to leave the Mid-Season Invitational after they lost the elimination series against PSG Talon 2-0. But for the PCS champions, it meant that they would get a rematch against the team that sent them to the lower bracket in the first place, FlyQuest.
The lower bracket final rematch between PSG and FQ will be for the second and final qualification spot to the Bracket Stage. As for Estral, they are the first of two teams that will be leaving the tournament today with the second series between LOUD and GAM Esports coming up later.
Game one of the best-of-three saw PSG take a comfortable lead early on and was able to keep Estral at bay for most of the match. And it was Yu-Hung “Betty” Lu who proved to be the difference maker for PSG as his Varus proved to be too much of an issue for Estral. He would end the game with six kills and nine assists to go with a sole death while Hung-Yu “Woody” Lin's Galio was also heavily involved from start to finish as he ended the game with zero kills, two deaths, and 12 assists.
If you thought that was the first it could get for Estral after game one, the second match was even worse as PSG went on a rampage that took them just 22 minutes to finish. Estral were able to snag six kills in the first but could only muster three in the second as PSG was able to kite and bait to great success.
This time, it was PSG's jungler Chun-chia “Junjia” Yu who led the team through a bloodbath as his Wukong racked up 12 kills and seven assists with just one death. Betty would get another six kills with Varus once again to go with his 11 assists and singular death but it was Woody who was the underrated star for PSG as his Renata Glasc was involved in 21 assists of the team's 26 kills.
PSG will have one more chance to qualify for the MSI Bracket Stage tomorrow where they will go up against FlyQuest in a rematch of their earlier series a few days ago.
