Evil Geniuses picked up its second win of the day against Beyond Gaming.

Evil Geniuses had a really great day today, earning back-to-back wins against LOUD and Beyond Gaming. In the fifth match of the day, EG went up against Beyond Gaming in what turned out to be a fairly uneven game overall. After EG struck First Blood and started racking up kills, Beyond Gaming just couldn' seem to recover and take the game back.

This was a quick match to start, with First Blood scored against Beyond Gaming’s Minji within a paltry two minutes - though Minji didn’t stand a chance after being ganged up on by both EG’s Jojopyun and Inspired. That ended up being entirely representative of the pace of this match as a whole, which sped by rapidly as both teams played aggressively throughout to down objectives and pick up gold.

By the eight-minute mark, one could argue that this was still anyone’s game - despite the odds leaning slightly towards EG’s favour. At this point however, we saw a fight go down in defense of EG’s bottom lane turret. EG’s Jojopyun absolutely dominated this fight, beating back a push from Beyond Gaming by slaying Kino and Husha shortly after. Jojopyun missed no chances in this game, taking kills where he could get them left and right. When the lategame arrived, EG had the clear advantage with more turrets, 5k more gold and four more kills over Beyond Gaming - who had quite a bit of catching up to do.

A massive teamfight went down close to the 30-minute mark that saw Beyond Gaming’s jungler go down, before EG went on to slay two more enemies. After these heavy losses, all that was left of Beyond Gaming were forced to watch helplessly as EG steamrolled into the Baron with ease. With Beyond Gaming so vulnerable and EG having just picked up a Baron, the latter team decided to make one last push into the enemy base. It wasn’t a clean victory, but EG stomped the base anyway and earned its second win of the day.

Next up, we’ll see DRX go up against Saigon Buffalo!
