After two gruelling days of swiss battles, sixteen players have made it through to the offline portion of the Hearthstone World Championships at Blizzcon in November. The sixteen will battle it out over two days at Dreamhack Stockholm later this month, with the top four advancing to the finals at Blizzcon.
128 players started the qualifiers, with a +5 record required to go through with a three loss elimination rule - meaning that 5-0, 6-1 and 7-2 were qualifying scores.
On day 1, Tempo Storm team captain Reynad, Innovation's Theude, thefishou and mcpnoisyboy advanced with unbeaten 5-0 records. InnNumberGuy, Frezzar from Fnatic, Matthew and Mryagut qualified at 6-1, while Lowelo, ThijsNL from MYM, max, CupCake and Lifecoach squeeked in after the final round.
Notable names to fall at this first hurdle of the qualification tournament included Amaz, Gnimsh, Ek0p and Kitkatz.
