The European powerhouse known primarily for their successes in League of Legends and Dota 2 now ventures into Blizzard's card game, signing Bertil "Frezzar" Fall as their first player.
Fnatic follow the example of other big eSports organizations like Cloud 9, Curse, TSM and iG and dip their toe in competitive Hearthstone. The Europeans have extended a contract to Swedish player Frezzard who became known after a successful run through DreamHack Summer which featured a top 4 in the BYOC qualifiers, followed by a top eight in the main event with victories over prominent players like Lothar and Gaara.
In a similar fashion to Copenhagen Wolves' team announcement, Fnatic hint with their banner that there might be more players to be signed in the future. The statement of Chief Gaming Officer Patrik "Carn" Sättermon additionally cites that "the signing of Frezzar is one of [Fnatic's] first steps into this new game and the community can expect more to come from Fnatic Hearthstone in the nearest future".
