Honor of Kings is celebrating Ramadan with a new season mechanic involving Ketupat and the return of Friday Frenzy.
Honor of Kings is celebrating Ramadan with a new season entitled “Time for Miracles” and a new map mechanic called “Happy Gatherings” that involves Ketupat, a rice cake from Indonesia.
Every time a player defeats Tyrant, Shadow Tyrant, or Tempest Dragon, players will receive a seed that can be planted to form a mat which can spawn 10 Ketupat that restore health and mana. The Ketupat can also be picked up by both allies and enemies. These new mechanics will be available from the start of the season to 19 March.
From 20 March until 30 April, the map mechanic will change to Celestial Light. During the day, the celestial light will deal damage to the enemy and grant vision. However, the celestial light intermittently stun enemies and grants vision during the night. There will be a two-minute cooldown to this power, and with the default setting, the button can be found beside the recall button.
Besides a new map mechanic, there will be a new hero, “Feyd,” a new skin line dubbed “Astral Magic," new in-game events, and the return of fan favourite event, Friday Frenzy.
Players can receive Feyd for free by completing the in-game quest from the start of the new season until 30 March. Players can also get free tokens alongside various new skins and rewards! Three skins were already announced in the Astral Magic skin line for Han Xin, Shangguan, and Cirrus. Players can get Shangguan and Cirrus directly from the shop. However, for Han Xin's skin, players can only get it through a limited draw from 7 March to 6 April.
An all-new event, "Time for Miracles: Believe in the Impossible," also starts on 5 March.
Players can earn up to 4 skins every Friday in March and enjoy exclusive team perks in a 5-player group for ranked matches. During Friday Frenzy, no ranking limits will be enacted. There are also 2 free skins and extra rewards for players who played during Friday Frenzy. Players can also enjoy Infinite Brawl and celebrate International Women’s Day with the chance to use the selective skins for free for a limited time.
