Wondering who to pull for in Genshin Impact’s second half of Version 5.4? We’ve got you covered.
With Wriothesley and Furina set to grace the gacha banners for Genshin Impact’s Version 5.4 second half, it may seem to players that it’s an easy decision to make between the two. Who wouldn’t want to get Furina, who’s touted as the best support of all-time?
But if you’re carefully weighing in your choices and want some pointers, well, we’ve got you covered!
Pull for Wriothesley if you want to get physical
Wriothesley is the no-nonsense administrator of the Fortress of Meropide, and is also a Cryo-aligned catalyst DPS with devastating icy punches.
Wriothesley is a very polarising character, as he relies on a team designed to support him with everything they’ve got, similar to Wanderer or Yoimiya. However, the investment is worth it, as Cryo is still arguably one of the best damage-dealing elements in Genshin Impact. Wriothesley already has the power of reverse-Melt at his fingertips, and his enemies can’t run away from him thanks to Frozen. Although he’s quite restrictive in team building, you won’t feel frustrated because Wriothesley is so fun to play.
If you already have Wriothesley in your party, it would do you well to put in some investment in his constellations, particularly his C1: Terror for Evildoers and C2: Shackles for the Arrogant which both increase his damage capability exponentially.
Pull for Furina if you want the best support, with a flair for the dramatic!
We’ve explored in a standalone article just how much of a beast Furina is when it comes to gameplay in Genshin Impact. Furina’s capabilities are nothing to scoff at, and she’s arguably the best support the game has ever released in recent years, easily dominating the metagame with her damage-increasing buffs. She's also a Hydro user, which is the most flexible element in the game.
Furina provides almost everything you need at zero constellations, like insane damage buffs to your entire party. Of course, there’s a restriction to this: Furina can’t be in a party without a healer due to her HP-consuming mechanics, but that’s not really an issue when your enemies dissipate into ash in seconds. Furina also enables any DPS to use the Marechausssee Hunter artifact set, which is one of the best sets you can give to your DPS given that it provides a considerable amount of Crit Rate increases. Since Furina can consume HP, and a healer will give back HP, the condition to gain three stacks of 12% Crit Rate increase can easily be completed.
But if you already have her in your party and want to take Furina to the next level, it’s an absolute must for you to provide investment towards her constellations–it’s incredibly worth it! Her C1 to C3 are designed to massively increase her support capability, which of course will provide even stronger DMG buffs for your party.
