Pokemon Day 2025 gave fans tons of announcements to look forward to.
A new Pokemon Presents stream went live for Pokemon Day 2025, revealing more information and updates for current and upcoming Pokemon games. Not only did we learn about Pokemon TCG Pocket’s new Mega Evolutions, but we also learned about an all-new multiplayer battling game called Pokemon Champions. We also got updates on Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s gameplay, which is shaping up to be a satisfying successor to Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Pokémon Champions (TBA)
An all-new multiplayer Pokemon game has been announced: Pokemon Champions. This title will focus on the core series’ Pokemon battling, allowing players to go up against each other in online multiplayer. The game will launch on mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch, but it has no set release date.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A (Late 2025)
Pokemon Legends: Z-A acts as a successor to Pokemon Legends: Arceus, with real-time battling and an all-new emphasis on positioning oneself and timing attacks properly in combat. The game is set in the Kalos region, which was first introduced in Pokemon X and Y, focusing on Lumiose City in the midst of an urban redevelopment project. Pokémon TCG Pocket
Pokemon TCG Pocket is getting a fourth expansion pack called Triumphant Light, and it’s available for players to pull starting today (28 February). In this expansion pack, players have a chance of pulling Arceus ex along with various other Pokemon ex cards, new trainer cards, and other Pokemon with Link abilities. Additionally, Mega Evolution cards are now in development for the physical trading card game.
Pokémon Unite
Pokemon Unite is adding more playable characters. Starting from 1 March, players will be able to step into the shoes of Legendary Pokemon Suicune in the MOBA, and Alolan Raichu later in April. Alcremie will also join the roster later in 2025.
Pokémon Masters EX (28 February, 2025)
Pokemon Masters EX is celebrating its 5.5-year anniversary in style. Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre will appear in an anniversary event with two new Master Sync Pairs: May and Kyogre, and Brendan and Groudon.
Pokémon Sleep (March 2025)
Pokemon Sleep is still chugging along. This March, the sleeping companion app is getting two dream-themed Legendary Pokemon: Darkrai and Cresselia, who will both somehow face off in-game.
Pokemon Concierge Season 2 (September 2025)
Netflix’s fluffy and adorable stop-motion animated series Pokemon Concierge is finally returning with a second season of episodes this year! Haru and Psyduck will once again sort out the various problems of new Pokemon guests in their resort in Season 2.
Pokémon Cafe Remix (28 February)
The cosy puzzle game Pokemon Cafe Remix is getting a new apple-themed menu item! Starting this week, players can complete an event to choose between Flapple or Appletun to join their staff. Additionally, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Pikachu, and Eevee will soon strut their stuff in new outfits.
