Lies of P: Overture trailer unveils a haunting journey into Krat’s tragic past

The trailer gives players clues on who Lea, the Legendary Stalker, is and what her past is like.

Round8 Studio has released a new trailer for Lies of P: Overture, the upcoming DLC for Lies of P. The DLC was first announced during Sony’s State of Play 2025 broadcast, where an initial trailer hinted at a return to the City of Krat in a bygone era, along with the many dangers awaiting its protagonist. Now, a second trailer has been revealed, shifting the focus towards the main story and introducing a mysterious new character known as the Legendary Stalker.

The trailer was shared on Tuesday (25 February) via the official Lies of P YouTube and X accounts.

A short synopsis on YouTube describes the DLC as a prequel, placing players in Krat’s final days of grandeur. As Geppetto’s puppet, players encounter a strange artefact that pulls them into the past, forcing them to uncover long-buried secrets amidst loss, vengeance, and tragedy. Every choice is said to shape both the past and present, deepening the mysteries of Lies of P.

Lea, the Legendary Stalker

The trailer carries a heavy, mournful tone, with haunting music that amplifies the weight of the story. It opens with an unfamiliar figure walking through the snow, presumably Lea, the Legendary Stalker, before transitioning to P, walking through heavy snowfall.

A sombre voice speaks throughout, addressing someone who is seemingly already gone. Lea moves through a desolate path littered with corpses; remnants of a battle that just ended. She enters a vast hall where an ominous red statue looms over her—its eerie presence suggesting that someone has been petrified. Left behind in the middle of a pool of blood is the jacket of her missing companion, who is the very person she seems to be speaking to.

Later on, Lea encounters P, and the trailer eventually reveals the duo fighting side by side. This raises questions—will she be a playable character, or is this just part of a cinematic sequence?

Another striking detail is her mask. If you look closely, it has an insect-like design, which could be a twisted take on Jiminy Cricket, who is Lies of P’s dark reimagining of Pinocchio. Given the game’s heavy themes, it seems unlikely that her partnership with P will end without tragedy. However, until more details emerge, her true role in the story remains a mystery.

Lies of P: Overture is set for release in Summer 2025. Publisher Neowiz has also confirmed that a sequel to Lies of P is currently in development. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC.
