Citlali is a mysterious and enduring figure within the Masters of the Night Wind Tribe, but there’s more to her than meets the eye!
Citlali, who was introduced in Genshin Impact’s 5.1 Archon Quest, is known as an enigmatic and mysterious fortune teller with an enduring 200-year legacy within the Masters of the Night Wind Tribe as 'Granny Itzli'; a powerful warrior who has inflicted countless victories against her challengers, to the point that even the mention of her name is enough to silence wailing infants.
Now, Citlali has been introduced as a new playable character for Genshin Impact's upcoming version 5.3!
Beyond her bigger-than-life reputation, Citlali is someone who has provided counsel to many of Natlan’s characters with her accurate predictions and knack of fortune telling. Sure, ‘Granny Itzli’ can instill fear and respect at the mere mention of her name, but Citlali couldn't care less about the intimidating persona people have built up for her over the many years she has acted as the wise elder of her tribe.
Beyond Citlali’s hermit lifestyle, which sees her indulge in wine, snacks, and Inazuman light novels, is a caring old soul who raised the 4-star character Ororon as if he was her own. Ororon affectionately addresses Citlali as his ‘granny’ - isn’t that just an adorable dynamic?
Mavuika has also seen Citlali’s potential to become the chief of her tribe, but even if Citlali could theoretically lead the Masters of the Night Wind, her disinterest to the outside world is a hurdle that not even the Pyro Archon herself would be able to overcome.
Citlali has been revealed to wield a Cryo vision, although her weapon of preference and rarity are yet to be known. We can assume however, that Citlali is likely to be a 5-star character.
Genshin Impact Version 5.2 dropped on November 20 with Chasca and Lyney headlining the first half banner runs, as well as additional content with a new map expansion, a new boss, and an Archon Quest Interlude. Genshin Impact's Version 5.3 update will most likely drop in early January 2025, with the Pyro Archon Mavuika debuting alongside Citlali as a playable character.
