Qingyi just joined the fray in v1.1! Here are her best W-engines, teammates, Bangboos, and more.
Qingyi has recently arrived in version 1.1 of Zenless Zone Zero! She is an Electric Stun unit and is a strike-type character who belongs to the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team faction .
Qingyi excels at applying Stun and Daze effects to enemies, making her a key asset in various team compositions.
To ensure you’re fully charged and ready to maximise her potential, let's dive into the best builds, recommended W-Engines, optimal team setups, and skill priorities.
To maximise Qingyi's effectiveness, maximise on a Stun build that emphasises Impact and Daze, enabling her to stun enemies and unleash her powerful EX Special Attack quickly.
Skill Priority
To optimise Qingyi's performance, it's essential to upgrade her skills in the right order.
Start with her Core Skill, as it increases the Stun multiplier, making it the top priority to max out. Next, maximise on upgrading her Basic Attack alongside her Special Attack. These two work together to maximise the application of Daze and increase overall damage output.
Afterwards, prioritize upgrading her Dodge. Enhancing this skill further boosts Daze output, which is crucial for maintaining pressure in combat. Although her Chain Attack improves overall damage, it should be considered a lower priority compared to the aforementioned skills.
Finally, upgrade her Assist last, as it has the least impact on Daze and contributes less compared to her other skills.
Best W-Engine:
- Ice-Jade Teapot: The top choice for Qingyi. This W-Engine increases Impact with each Basic Attack, stacking up to 30 times. When Qingyi reaches 15 or more stacks of Tea-riffic, the DMG of all squad members increases by 20% for 10 seconds, boosting team synergy.
Alternative W-Engines:
- The Restrained: Increases DMG and Daze from Basic Attacks, making it ideal for consistent pressure on enemies.
- Hellfire Gears: Enhances Energy Regen while off-field and boosts Impact when using the EX Special Attack, perfect for quick rotations.
- Steam Oven: Increases Impact based on accumulated Energy, maintaining the bonus even after Energy consumption.
- Precious Fossilized Core: Provides a Daze bonus against enemies with higher HP, aiding in faster stuns.
- Six Shooter: Gathers Charge stacks that boost Daze when launching the EX Special Attack, great for burst impact.
Best Drive Discs:
- Shockstar Disco (4-pc): The best set for Qingyi, as it enhances both Impact and Daze in her kit.
- Swing Jazz (2-pc): Complements her build by reducing cooldowns, allowing more frequent use of her EX Special Attack.
This build ensures that Qingyi can inflict as much Daze as possible, making it easier to Stun enemies while providing Energy Regen for frequent access to her EX Special Attack.
Alternative Set Combinations:
- Thunder Metal (2-pc): A viable alternative if you wish to maximise more on DMG rather than Daze. However, take note that this does not Qingyi’s main strength as a stun unit.
Qingyi Best Teams and Bangboo Compositions
Qingyi can fit into various team compositions, each designed to leverage her strengths in applying Stun and Daze effects.
In fact, fitting Qingyi into Ellen's team in place of Lycaon is possible, in case you don't have the latter. Probably the only potentially struggling team comp would be Grace, Anton, and Qingyi---as the combination of the two from Belobog seems to not synergise as well with Qingyi.
Although Qingyi is quite flexible, here are her best team comps so far:
Qingyi Zhu Yuan Team
This composition maximise on leveraging Zhu Yuan’s unique abilities to maximise damage against stunned enemies.
Team Composition:
- Qingyi (Stun)
- Nicole (Support)
- Zhu Yuan (Attack): Zhu Yuan's Core Skill deals more DMG to stunned enemies, making this a powerful combo.
- Resonaboo (Bangboo): Boosts overall team efficiency, synergising well with the team’s mechanics.
Bangboo Alternatives:
- Devilboo
- Booressure
- Sumoboo
Qingyi F2P Team
This team is ideal for players with limited access to premium resources, yet still highly effective.
Team Composition:
- Qingyi (Stun)
- Nicole (Support): Nicole’s abilities synergise well with Qingyi's Daze and Stun mechanics, enhancing team support.
- Billy (Attack): Billy can capitalise on Qingyi’s Stuns to deal increased damage.
- Sumoboo (Bangboo): Enhances overall team utility, making it a solid choice.
Bangboo Alternatives:
- Bagboo
- Booressure
- Avocaboo
Qingyi Electric Team
A Mono-Electric team that maximises on Electric synergy, with Rina and Anton boosting Qingyi’s performance.
Team Composition:
- Qingyi (Stun)
- Rina (Support): Rina increases PEN Ratio and Electric DMG, enhancing Qingyi and Anton’s effectiveness.
- Anton (Attack): Anton works well in this setup, increasing the team’s overall Electric DMG.
- Plugboo (Bangboo): Ideal for this team composition, amplifying Electric DMG.
Bangboo Alternatives:
- Safety
- Avocaboo
- Electroboo
This prioritisation ensures that Qingyi maximises her Stun potential, Daze application, and overall damage output, making her a formidable force on the battlefield.
