EA Sports FC 25 comes with two new game modes
Electronic Arts touts EA Sports FC 25’s two new game modes as its biggest innovations over last year’s entry. The first mode is called Rush, a 5v5 mode that recycles the same controls and mechanics of 11v11. Rush will be available across Football Ultimate Team, Kick-Off and Clubs, and is designed to be played with friends, as it allows groups of four to go up against one another with AI-controlled goalkeepers. Rush will also be a single player experience in Manager Career, featuring new 5v5 tournaments.
The second new game mode is called FC IQ. This mode takes 11v11 matches and gives them a tactical twist, by giving players more strategic control over their teams and all-new Player Roles to mess around with. These Player Roles will allow you to change player tactics to influence the way they play. According to EA, FC IQ is powered by a new AI model that draws from data from real-world football teams, which supposedly allows for more realistic gameplay.
Women’s football is also coming to Career Mode for the very first time, and Live Start Points are coming to Career to allow players more control over real-world storylines, like taking over a club after mid-season transfers. According to IGN, the game will also feature ray tracing for the first time in FC and FIFA history, along with new optional graphics modes favouring either in-game visuals or resolution. Both modes will support 60fps gameplay, thankfully.
EA Sports FC 25 launches on September 27, 2024, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
