The 2024 Steam Summer Sale is packed with great discounts on classic games.
Valve’s annual Steam Summer Sale has officially returned with a truly ludicrous amount of discounts for PC games. The sale runs from now until July 11, and now includes a specific ‘Deep Discounts’ section that hosts games like Batman: Arkham Knight, Disco Elysium - The Final Cut and Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 for as low as $2.
I mean, how do you pass that up?
Steam Summer Sale 2024: the highlights
The 2024 Steam Summer Sale is a big one, slashing prices for thousands of games on Steam to ribbons while also introducing new digital stickers for players to collect. The sale is live now, but we would be remiss not to mention its new ‘Featured Deep Discounts’ section, which offers up to 90% price cuts for what Steam describes are, “some of the all-time greats.” I would take that description with a grain of salt, as this list also includes Battlefield 2042.
The Featured Deep Discounts list is still worth checking out however, as some of these games are now being sold at unbelievably low prices. Here’s the full list:
- American Truck Simulator - $2.00
- Assetto Corsa - $2.00
- Batman: Arkham Knight - $2.00
- Battlefield 2042 - $6
- Battlefield V - $3.50
- Borderlands 2 - $3.00
- Castle Crashers - $1.50
- Celeste - $2.00
- Disco Elysium - The Final Cut - $4.00
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 - $2.00
- Humankind - $5.00
- Jurassic World Evolution 2 - $6.00
- Middle-earth: Shadow of War - $2.50
- Prison Architect - $3.00
- Sid Meier’s Civilization VI - $3.00
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - $4.00
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint - $6.00
- Total War: SHOGUN 2 - $3.00
Some of these are definitely worth picking up if you haven’t played them yet, such as the visual novel-like whodunit Disco Elysium - The Final Cut ($4) and Geralt's final adventure The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt ($4). Of course, even more games are discounted everywhere else on the platform, so be sure to give the sale a proper look. For example, you can get Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal for less than $15 in total, leaving you well-prepared for Doom: The Dark Ages next year.
Here are a few more games we spotted on discount in the sale:
- Elden Ring - $42
- Hades - $10
- Palworld - $22.50
- Cyberpunk 2077 - $30
- Subnautica - $10
- Forza Horizon 5 - $30
- Left 4 Dead 2 - $1
- Tekken 8 - $40
- Deep Rock Galactic - $10
