Diablo 4 players will soon enjoy five days of boosted XP and gold at all World Tiers.
If you’ve been neglecting your battle pass this season in Diablo 4, now is the time to catch up. Blizzard has announced that an upcoming Mother’s Blessing event will bring boosted XP and gold gains for players at all World Tiers from September 1 to September 5 (US time), a buff that the developer says, "doesn't come by very often.”
The Mother’s Blessing event starts at 1am (GMT+8) on September 2 to 1am on September 6 (GMT+8), bestowing 25% increased XP and gold gains upon players in both the Seasonal and Eternal Realms, which means that you’ll have an easier time levelling characters from the base game too. If you want to check if the XP and gold bonus is active in-game, look for a new in-game icon next to your potion count that signifies the event is running.
It’s worth noting that if you have Season 1’s battle pass, you can stack this XP bonus on top of the pass’ 8% XP bonus too. If you want to speedrun character builds before diving into Starfield or Baldur’s Gate 3 on PlayStation 5 this September, now is a good time to get your characters to the finish line. It’s also a good idea to get through the battle pass before Season 2 launches in October, bringing vampires to the game to replace Malignant Monsters.
Thankfully, the XP and gold bonus will run through the weekend for anyone who happens to be busy at work this week, so use your time wisely. This could be a good way to cycle through a few new character classes before Season 2 inevitably changes up their gameplay with another big, hopefully less controversial seasonal patch. Diablo 4 Season 2 kicks off on October 17, and the Mother’s Blessing event begins on September 2 (GMT+8).
This is also a good time to try out Diablo 4’s new patch, which brings nerfs to enemy crowd control effects so that players no longer spend so much time chilled and stunned. You can check out those patchnotes here.
