NVIDIA’s 40 series GPU family starts from $299 and launches on May 24.

NVIDIA has revealed the full lineup of its GeForce RTX 4060 series, the first wave of which launches later this month. The 40 series consists of the RTX 4060 and the RTX 4060 Ti, though the latter also comes in 8GB and 16GB RAM variants.

First up, the RTX 4060. This GPU comes with 24MB of L2 cache and 8GB of GDDR6 memory, along with 15TFLOPs of shaders, 35TFLOPs of 3rd Gen RT Cores, total graphics power of 115 watts and claimed average power of 110 watts. The RTX 3060 was a 170-watt GPU by comparison, making this new card fairly energy-efficient. It also has 3072 CUDA Cores and a boost clock speed of 2.46GHz. The card targets 1080p gaming and will be priced at $299 when it launches this July.

The RTX 4060 Ti is a step up in almost every category, and its price reflects that leap in performance. The card comes in two variants: one with 8GB of VRAM priced at $399 and another with 16GB of VRAM priced at $499. The RTX 4070 Ti will have a boost clock speed of 4352 CUDA Cores and a boost clock speed of 2.54GHz, with 22 TFLOPs, total graphics power of 160 watts and 32MB of L2 cache. There is no substantial difference in performance between the two variants of this card, besides the amount of RAM they offer.

The 8GB RTX 4060 Ti will launch on May 24, while the 16GB version is due in July, along with the RTX 4060. Both cards are better suited for 1080p gaming, and you’ll probably have to fiddle with a few performance settings to get the latest games running on them at max settings.
