A new start for Into The Breach
ITB first entered the competitive Dota 2 scene in 2020. Known for its consistent presence in Dota 2 developer Valve Software’s now-defunct Dota Pro Circuit (DPC), ITB temporarily ceased operations in September 2023. However, the organisation is making an exciting comeback with a new sponsor, the betting platform Shuffle, and a fresh, new roster.
The new team, branded as ITB.Shuffle, is built from the promising Jigglin stack, a mix of veteran players and emerging talent. Despite some struggles in recent qualifiers, Jigglin caught the community’s attention by eliminating OG from the DreamLeague Season 25 Western Europe Closed Qualifier.
ITB’s announcement emphasized that the roster was built from scratch under the leadership of MinD_ControL and TeaGuvnor, who will serve as the team’s coach. TeaGuvnor shared his thoughts on the challenges of assembling a team mid-season:
“Building a team mid-season comes with its challenges, but I see strong potential in the roster we've assembled. It's rare in Dota to start a team without an existing core of players, but in just three weeks as 'Team Jigglin,' we've already had some solid showings.“
The announcement also shed light on the challenges faced by the two Mongolian players, 423 and Se. For the past three weeks, both players competed from their home region, enduring an eight-hour time zone difference and significant ping issues, which likely impacted their performance.
“I just look forward to 423 & Se not having to play from a timezone that is not +8 hours from europe. INSANELY commendable how they've performed in the last 3 weeks under these conditions,” the announcement further stated.
ITB also announced that they will accommodate 423 and Se in Europe, as the roster continues to compete in the WEU region.
Next challenges await
ITB.Shuffle is currently competing in CCT Series 6 and the European Pro League Season 23. The team will likely focus on building their chemistry and improving their performances while waiting for more tier one qualifiers to approach, the next one in line being for PGL Wallachia Season 4.
