Neta “33” Shapira brings Artem "lorenof" Melnick to Tundra on a trial basis and on loan from Aurora.
Neta “33” Shapira returned to Tundra over the weekend, where he landed his first Aegis at The International 2022. Despite just having won his second Aegis with Team Liquid, it was reported that 33 really wanted to build a team from the ground up and was allowed full freedom to do as he wished.
His first move was bringing Artem "lorenof" Melnick on board.
lorenof is on a trial basis, on loan from Aurora where he took a commendable 7-8th place finish at TI13.
The Ukrainian core player is only 21 years old and made his International debut at TI13. He replaced Armel "Armel" Tabios on Aurora, making his first appearance with the team at DreamLeague Season 22. Before joining the SEA team, the Eastern European core player has had a long list of various EEU team stints stringing back to 2020.
In an exclusive GosuGamers interview with Ivan "Kidaro" Bondarev from Dandelions (now Alliance), the support player said:
"I would say that Lorenof from Aurora is standing out. I played with him at PuckChamp and I can tell you that he is a very tryhard player. He has his own way of playing the game and his mechanical skills are what makes him so special. Some say Jabz is the best player on the Aurora roster, but I would keep an eye on Lorenof. "
And it seems that someone (namely 33) did keep an eye on him.
Tundra might still be tinkering with their final lineup, but fans should expect to see their final form before (or at least on) October 4th, as they will be competing at PGL Wallachia Season 2.
