Artem "lorenof" Melnick is moved to inactive status on Aurora as the organization continues with their roster rehaul.
Although Aurora is a Serbian organization, the Dota 2 division is based in Southeast Asia. Artem "lorenof" Melnick joined the roster moving from Eastern Europe to SEA play – an interesting pick-up at the time, that seemed to have helped the team move forward from a stagnant region. At The International 2024, Aurora took a commendable 7-8th place finish.
But big changes are coming for the organization. Just yesterday they announced that they were parting ways with two of their players – Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon and his position 5 support, Chan "Oli" Chon Kien. Now, lorenof has been benched.
So far, there is no word on who will replace any of the three players already removed from the roster – or where any of them will end up for the new season.
Aurora current roster
Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong
Worawit “Q” Mekchai
The new season is upon us, with plenty of qualifier legs set to begin next week on the 23rd of September.
Aurora are expected to fight for a spot at the upcoming BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 LAN event and a spot at DreamLeague Season 24, so stay tuned for further updates!
