Remus "ponlo" Goh will not play in the upcoming season with the Chinese team, but hopes to relocate to Europe.
Remus "ponlo" Goh made his International debut at TI13 after playing in the scene for years. As part of Team Zero's lineup, they had a very unexpected – and very promising – start. Not only did they usurp the regional favourites for the first slot in qualifiers, but on the first day of the Group Stage Team Zero forced Team Falcons to a 1-1 draw in their opening series. They then went on to sweep through BetBoom to take the top seed at the end of Day 1.
Ultimately, it wasn't enough. Team Zero's cinderella story never made it through the early portion of the fairytale.
As part of the post-TI shuffle, ponlo is now making his move.
The Singaporean player remained humble through all editorial and on-stage interviews as he graced the stage. He just really wanted to play Dota, which he was proud of and continue to improve.
Based on his tweet, he will continue to do so but seeking a place in the European scene. Europe continues to be the strongest region, dominating events. The top four of the International 2024 were all European teams with Team Liquid taking the trophy after a 3:0 sweep in grand finals.
Things will be moving quickly though, PGL Wallachia Season 2 is set to begin in just two weeks.
With Team Liquid claiming the Aegis of Champions at The International 2024, the Dota 2 scene is now in its post-TI roster shuffle period as teams are disbanded, retooled, or even remade entirely in an effort to assemble the best rosters possible to try and capture next year's world championship title.
