OG head to DreamLeague Season 22 with two South American players.
Earlier this week, OG’s long standing carry player, Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev was moved to an inactive status with the team. With just a few days at their disposal before entering DreamLeague Season 22, OG announced just a stand-in player for the $1,000,000 tournament which is set to start this coming Sunday, February 22.
Enzo "Timado" Gianoli will take the carry role left empty. This will mark Timado’s second stint with a Western European team. The Peruvian player has been teamless since TSM’s dissolution in December last year but had attended ESL One Kuala Lumpur with Tundra Esports. While there were no details provided regarding his agreement with Tundra, Timado has been with the team for about two weeks, before Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko came on loan to replace him on the roster.
It remains to be seen if Timado will become a permanent fixture at OG. For now, he is expected to join the team in a bootcamp in Europe for DreamLeague Season 22. The event features a total of 16 teams from around the world entering the battle for the title and a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
DreamLeague Season 22 is also the first big tournament for OG, who fell short in the regional qualifiers for both ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 and ESL One Birmingham 2024. Both LAN events along with the DreamLeague Season 22 are a part of the ESL Pro Tour and count towards a direct qualification via EPT points to the Riyadh Masters at the Esports World Cup 2024.
