North America will once again send TSM and Shopify Rebellion to the DPC 2023 Season Major, this time being held in Berlin.
Little has changed in the NA regional scene. If one was to take a look at the results of the DPC Winter Tour and then at the DPC Spring Tour, the top three spots would be not only a copy/paste in terms of rank order but the final record for TSM (7:0) and Shopify Rebellion (6:1) is the same. Only third-place team Nouns went from a 4:3 record to 5:2.
With that said both TSM and Shopify Rebellion have earned their place at the Major once again.
At Lima Major TSM suffered a disappointing result with a 13-14th place finish, failing to make it out of the group stage and claiming any DPC points. Despite this, they are still tied for 4th place overall in the DPC rankings with 700 points, 30 points ahead of Shopify, who placed fourth at the Lima Major —is it just us or does the math or system just not seem right here?
Regardless, both teams will now have the chance to secure even more DPC points and inch even closer to the highly coveted The International invite.
Berlin Major
Eighteen of the world's best teams will be competing for the lion's share of the $500,000 prize pool and 2700 DPC points between April 26-May 7th.
The event will begin on April 26, but fans will be able to watch live at Velodrom Arena from May 5-7th.
The Velodrom, one of Berlin's largest concert venues, is an indoor track cycling arena with a capacity for 12,000 people.
