Tundra is the first team to claim a spot in the grand finals of TI11

It took a full three-game series but Tundra became the first team to secure their place in the grand finals of The International 2022.

The upper bracket finals were an all-WEU brawl to be the first team to gain access to the Grand Finals of The International 2022.

Team Secret came from the LCQ, Tundra has been known to have a unique style and has been targeted as the team to beat with their impressive winning streak at the event.

Courier meta, pulling the creeps with the courier. Giant tiny, larger than Roshan. Tier 5 items. Popping off irl at opponents. Pog Toggles. This series had it all.

Game 1

Tundra went for a vision game and pushing the lanes in while Team Secret went for team fights. Two different approaches to the same game.

But there was no shortage of damage on the Tundra side. They were incredibly tanky and there was so much positioning displacement from their side, that they were able to force Team Secret into a real DEFENSE of the ANCIENTS, managing to hold on far longer than expected.

It took more than an hour but Tundra took the first game of the series with disciplined, careful to not over-extend, wearing Team Secret down eventually.

Game 2

Tundra had an aggressive draft and Team Secret aimed for a balanced draft to allow for some mistakes or not have to work hard to out-tempo them.

Secret was able to start out the game by setting the tempo that was best for them and getting what they wanted out of their heroes. The tri-core lineup had some impressive physical damage that they were able to exact on Tundra to clean through hero after hero and tie up the series.

Game 3

Tundra's draft could push the lanes out and set up kills which is up their alley. However, Team Secret's draft looked much stronger than Tundra's with several counters to the Enigma.

Team Secret secured the first three bounty runes and first kill, giving them the lead and advantage immediately out of the gate.

A team wipe from Tundra shifted the momentum and gave them some control of the game less than 15 minutes in. Once that happened they remained on top and snowballed through to the game and series victory.

Tundra has seized the first spot in the Grand Finals of TI11.

Team Secret will drop to the lower bracket finals to face Team Liquid tomorrow, October 20th at 05:00 CET.
