ESL One Malaysia group stage is set to wrap up today, Thursday, August 25 with a total of four teams making an early exit from the tournament.
The bottom two teams from each group will head home at the end of the group stage matches, and for those seeded in Group A the battle for a spot into the playoffs is already over. Two of the teams set to play in The International 11 regional qualifiers early next month will unfortunately not have the chance to test more of their ideas for the new patch at ESL One Malaysia.
Both Talon Esports and Alliance will head back home to the drawing board to prepare for the most important qualifier of the year. Neither of these two leaves ESL One Malaysia with a clean victory. At the end of the three days of group stage matches, Alliance exited the tournament with two draw scores, registered versus Talon and Thunder Awaken, and three losses

Alliance first to bring Primal Beast to competitive matches
However, Alliance bows out of the tournament as the first team to have played Primal Beast in competitive matches. They picked it twice in their series against Team Aster, on the first day of the 7.32 patch, playing it in the offlane in game one and in the mid lane in game two, but with no success.
Talon has also tested the hero in a competitive environment, but they did it in their very last game in the tournament, against Team Secret. They placed Primal Beast in the offlane on Damien "kpii" Chok and stopped the push power and overall madness Team Secret hoped to bring to the game with a Lycan-Lina duo core and with Sven and Techies in the support lines.
Day 3 of the ESL Malaysia group stage continues with the final three series in Group B and potentially a tiebreaker series for upper and lower bracket seeds for the playoffs. The Upper Bracket semifinals will also played today.
