Relog Media enters Dota 2 with SnowSweetSnow series

Relog Media makes its foray into Dota 2 with the upcoming SnowSweetSnow series worth $600,000 throughout the year.

Relog Media has announced their first Dota tournaments for 2021 with a whopping prize pool and numerous events planned out already.

CS:GO fans will recognize the tournament organizer as the folks who hosted four HomeSweetHome seasons and seven Nine To Five events, distributing over $750,000 so far. They have also hosted also numerous NBA and PES tournaments for the local Serbian market.

Marko "BAJA" Jovanovic - Head of Esports in Relog and ex-professional Dota 2 player talked to GosuGamers about their entry into Dota 2.

After completing HSH and 9 to 5 in 2020 in which we have given away over 770,000$ in the prize pool for CS:GO, we have decided to venture in DOTA2. Our main goal is keeping T2 and T3 scene alive and give them something to play for throughout whole year as this is mandatory in order to make it worthy for organizations to invest in these teams and community to stay alive. Currently, community is slowly dying and it's worth it only for T1 teams playing ESL, DH, and Weplay events. Together with the help of the community we are looking to take Dota 2 where it belongs, at the very top of esports food chain.

The first Dota 2 cup to be held will be worth $50,000 with an aim of 12 events in the series this year!. On a side note, CS:GO fans can look forward to 12 cups with $100,000 prize pools each.

Between Jan 18 - Feb 11th sixteen teams directly invited from the CIS and European region will kick off the 2021 year and series.

Bold move to start at the same time as DPC 2021 Season 1 you say? No sweat. The teams are already confirmed and ready to go. In fact, they had so much interest that there was no need to even consider qualifiers, and might never be any!

The games will be broadcast in English HERE and Russian HERE for now, but they do hope to be adding both German and Polish in the near future.
