Infamous disbands before TI9 qualifers

The latest iteration of Infamous consisting of 4/5 Europeans has disbanded before the TI9 qualifiers kick off.

Infamous just rounded out their roster last month with the addition of Mikki Mørch "HesteJoe-Rotten" Junget bringing the South American organization to being a 4/5 European roster. The plan was for the team to be together through the last 2018-2019 DPC and TI9 qualifiers.

They quickly landed a spot at EPICENTER Major where they eventually took a hard last-place finish without securing a single win at the event.

Before EPICENTER Major has even come to an end, the team has announced they will be going their separate ways.

At this time it is not known if Infamous will pick up a new roster and where the players will all end up.

Teams hoping for a spot at the TI9 closed qualifiers need to have their rosters registered by the end of EPICENTER Major, on Sunday, June 30th. The TI9 open qualifiers will kick off on Wednesday, July 3rd.

Valve has not yet announced how many teams per region will be able to qualify for TI9. In the last several years 18 has been the magical number of teams headed for the pinnacle of all Dota 2 events. If that stays the same, with 12 invites being handed out, only six teams - one per region- would end up at TI9 via the qualifiers. The competition will be cut-throat and teams are seeking out any competitive edge.

Infamous last Roster:

Slovakia Oliver "oliver" Lepko
Germany Dominik "Black^" Reitmeier
Denmark Mikki Mørch "HesteJoe-Rotten" Junget
Argentina Mariano "Papita" Caneda
Denmark Malthe "Biver" Winther
